Just saw Brian Kenny on sportcenter saying that B-Hop is going to agitate for the fight tonight! Hopkins wants to become a legit three weight division champion,(one upping even Roy Jones) and Adamek can make way more money fighting B-Hop and fame with this fight than anybody else. I really think this fight is going to happen. What an accomplishment it would be for Hopkins; the ring titlist at Middle, Lightheavy, and Cruiser, all past the age of forty! Truly remarkable!
I just hope Hopkins doesnt try and win like he did with Joe.Faking low blows looking to the ref to help...
Another favourable style matchup for hopkins, that being said He'd better be careful what he wishes for, Adamek has got some serious skills. He's a well schooled boxer that covers up well applies very smart pressure. Plus he's obviously got some pretty good pop a cruser. I'd be definitely up for watching this fight! P.s. As much as he wants to be he will never be as great as Roy. Accomplishments can only take you so far.
Delvin Rodriguez is the headliner against someone whom I can't remember. Tonight looks like a pretty lackluster card even by FNF standards.
wow if bhop wins over adamek, im very sure he would be fighting at the HW next...if he KO adamek he could make a very strong case as the best fighter of the decade..
Is Adamek going to be in the studio? Here's hoping he breaks out the 60/40 line if Hopkins gets too riled up.
I don't understand any criticism of Hopkins fight choice. Lets look at who he has fought post forty: Jermain Taylor Tarver Wright Calzaghe Pavlik And now possibly Adamek. That is as ridiculous as it gets. What a great fighter. I think the fight with Adamek is a toss-up, Adamek is terrific and a worthy champ, but let's give credit where it is due, that is a truly incredible list of opponents post forty.
