I would say the Barrera fight. It made him a star.

If he beats Hatton, which he probably will do, that will be defining. Before he stepped up he was just a good featherweight; now he's a multi-weight P4P star. Also, why isn't Diaz an option? I know it's not his most defining fight per se, but it certainly unlocked the DLH fight and now Hatton.

diaz win is nothing compared to the victory over DLH's win

The first Barrera win, no doubt. But the nuthuggers went all over the place after the DLH fight, thinking he beat a live body there, so I guess for the public, that one is the most defining.

But Barrera, on the top of the FW division, in his true prime, and with PacMan coming up in weight, what he did there was magical and almost unbelievable.

I dont think that most of Manny's fans believe that he beat a prime DLH.

What they were defending was, some of the guys here totally reduced that DLH win's value to almost zero. Saying that their grandmother could have won against Oscar that night, or some BS like that.

I agree that that was not a prime DLH anymore, but a win is a win. Jumping up 2 divisions after fighting once at 135 is no easy feat.

A heavy underdog in pre-fight predictions, he proved everyone wrong that he is a real #1 P4P fighter. He silenced his critics who branded him as one-dimensional fighter by clinically beating the man who was once a champion in the junior middleweight who fought the likes of Trinidad, Hopkins, Mayweather, etc.

Barrera 1, i think he was only 24 or 25 yrs old back then, not yet in his peak but dismantled a prime 29 year old MAB.

barrera 1. unknown outside of hardcore fans, coming up in weight, betting underdog etc....... comes up to destroy a certified ATG who was p4p no.3-4 at the time.
