Stop whining. I said Degale would go nowhere as a pro and I am sure I will be right. But anyone booing someone after 6 minutes of a pro debut is a ****ing cretin, whether English, Irish or whatever.

Seriously though, take that chip of your shoulder, this is not the 60s or 70s, ask most English people and they say they like the Irish and for ****s sake most lads will cheer on the Republic of Ireland when they play anyone other than England and they have no idea how hated England is over in Ireland.

I think it started off as a bit of banter - DeGale and Warren are right about it being some of Rogan's fans. It was not nasty. If I was there with Rogan and I'd had Sutherland rammed down my throat all last summer I would be giving DeGale an earful. It's the basic craic - not hateful. James has said he wants to go and fight on a Rogan undercard in Belfast.
Let's not let this get stupid - there is blame and blame. Nobody here did anything wrong so nobody is to blame. Fans are entitled to boo if they have paid their cash - promoters, the media and fighters are entitled to their opinion of the booing.
I have been saying for a long, long time (pre-Audley) that fight fans have less patience than they once had. Remember that the booing started after one round of Oscar v Felix - I was there and it was mad.

Whos the english b team. we dont go around around every time we qualify for the world cup thinking al we have to do is turn up. I'm Welsh and couldn't give 2 ****s for the English or Irish teams but back when I took an interest in the sport the Republic's team was full of Englishmen with Irish great grannies.

 

Its not that i dislike the english that much is that alot of them are so ****ing arrogant when i comes to them and sport especially football like when you lose in the world cup and the next day the whole world has to hear some kinda bull**** excuses. Or before the last world cup ye booked a parade through london celebrating winning it a month or two before it started.

 

Thats a fair point mate but most of em are ful blooded Irish men now but when you look at Ryan Giggs he played for the English under 16 side

he does have some fair points there imhpo.i think it is more the media,sometimes they can up there own arse it can be annoying for the other home nations as nearly 100% of the media comes form there.but in saying that when scotland was beating France etc we were just as bad
