I don't think Cotto vs. Margarito is that great. Doesn't hold up to repeat viewings, it looks like a steam rolling after the first viewing. Where all the mystique of whether or not Margarito can take the punches is gone. All you see afterwards in the punishment cotto takes.
In no order, besides the first. 1. Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo I Somsak Sihchatchawl-Mahyar Monishpour Felix Trinidad-Fernando Vargas Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales I Arturo Gatti-Micky Ward I Rafael Marquez-Izreal Vazquez III Miguel Cotto-Ricardo Torres Sergei Liakhovich-Lamon Brewster James Toney-Vassily Jirov Antonio Margarito-Miguel Cotto
Monshipour-Sithchatsawal was an awesome fight. There's no English language broadcast of it but who gives a ****? Epic fight.
1. Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera I - Two elite ATG HOF's at their very best. 2. Diego Corrales vs Jose Louis Castillo I - Unbelievable war. Ebb and flow. 3. Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez II - Best one of the trilogy. Epic third round. 4. James Toney vs Jirov - Greatest cruiser weight fight since holyfield vs Qawi 5. Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez III - Another classic. 6. Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito - Significant fight, not tainted at all in my opinion. 7. Felix Trinidad vs Fernando Vargas - A little to one-sided, but Vargas made a fight out of it 8. Miguel Cotto vs Ricardo Torres - Probably the most underrated fight of the decade. 9. Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales III - So much skill involved in this high action thriller. 0. Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez II - a high skill level also, shifts in momentum until the final bell.
thats a classic right there :yep btw whos that chick in your avatar? she looks a bit like Trish Stratus.
Trish Stratus? now that you mention it......they do kinda look alike, but nah, she's Layla Kayleigh, off that MTV show America's Next Top Dance Crew or whateva the hell its called
Sitchatchawal-Monshipur was better, I mean at least IMO waaaaaaay better than some fights on your list, but if you include that and the Gatti-Ward rivalry, it's a quality list, man! :thumbsup Also, the more time passes, the more I feel Calzaghe-Kessler deserves to be up there with the best fights. If not top10 brawls, which is the list most people do, but top10 of action and skills combined, which tells the most about this sport, it has to be there, although I see most people disagree with me on that. Well, these lists are subjective anyway.
