I think Hopkins is more important than most people mention. Even though Bernard was bigger, the sign of a great fighter is can he neutralize the size and still win, and Oscar could not do anything. He was stopped with a bodyshot. I think that sort of symbolizes a lot of his career, but the Pacman fight sort of put a period on Oscar's career. But it was good.

He was great from 93-97. In 1998, when he chose to rematch Chavez and went life and death with a corpse, I knew he was one of the most overrated Athletes in the History of all sports.

He fought good guys but a lot of handpicked guys also. Oscar did well up until welterweight, when the size seemed to affect his punching power. He seemed to also become aware of the punches of those guys at that weight. Oscar is a HOF fighter, but his career is a little like Floyd's only that he fought the best guys and lost to them, and Floyd stopped before he could risk being beaten by the best guys. My guess is Floyd could have gone to the next level a little better than Oscar had he just done it. What make Oscar better than Floyd are the risks he took. Ranking does not have to do with potential.

    It's obviously against Tito.

Pacquaio and Floyd are pretty irrelevant fights in the context of Oscar career.

OScar is not better than Floyd in any way, shape or form. Oscar de la Hopa got his overhyped Golden Ass taken to school back on Cinco de Mayweather, 2007, and I had the distinct pleasure of being there that night in Vegas, live, and watching the disappoinment of all the Oscarsexuals, in the flesh. PBF was and is faster, better technically, stronger and craftier than even the 1996 version of Oscar could ever hope to be. SBA baby.:good

My argument is that Oscar is not as good as Floyd, but he put himself on the line when Floyd did not. So in the annals of history he did more than Floyd just by taking the chances.

It has to be Floyd. It was his most defining Career. And he fell short on it.(again)

Trinidad without a doubt. It took him years to shake off the reputation of being a runner
