Err, no he didn't, he played for England Schoolboys because he was a schoolboy in England.

He couldn't play for any English representative team as he isn't qualified.

So many excuses. Opponent was trying to survive. Irish crowd. You had to be a purist...

If it was the Irish then I applaud them for being vocal. They wanted a good fight like the NON-Irish.

ESB has some great Irish posters and then certain ignorant pricks like jonnycuntlips. I have absolutely no idea of what his problem with the English is but jeez you have put shame on your great nation.

I am not Irish but if I had been at the fight I would have been booing with them plus cheering Rogan.

...quite a low move; I'd expect it from Bunce, but not from Warren. He might be the devil's spawn, but he knows better than that.

degale is another Khan in the making with regards to the arrogance. At least Khan still has some excitement about him and looks great when he lets his hands go. Whats cockmouth got ? His b/s pitta patta school yard punches are something that even girls would be embarrassed to throw.

what a **** of a thing to say and what a thread its turned into. we all get along on here for the most part, english, irish, scottish and whatever strange race Flint Island represents.

It was a stupid thing for warren to say because whether it started as a joke or not it can be seriously miscontrued and appear xenophobic.

if anyone booed DeGale it's because he's a arrogant, slappy little **** who gets on everyones nerves. that said, I wouldn't have bothered to boo him if I was there but each to their own. I'd say people who booed DeGale just did it because a) he's a lippy twat b) he didn't even throw his punches properly and c) it was an awful fight.

Not into booing myself , don't know why you'd bother unless there was zero lack of effort from either fighter, but saying 'oh it was the Irish because of what happend at the Olympics' is a big load of bollocks fwank. No shut your gob before I send Terry O'Marsh round to have a word with you

    True that.

Eubank and Naz played the bad/flash guys, but they were intriguing. And good fighters.

Degale is just a silly little boy. There's no substance to it, no style, no charm, no believability. For want of a better word, he acts like a chav and not may people really dig that.

Still, I'm trying to stay out of he personality thing. I'll try to judge him simply as a boxer.

yeah can't be the irish. I can't think of a SINGLE time they've ever held a grudge about something that happened 100 years ago, let alone 1 year.

My mum said that my grandad used to say that 'the irish are the friendliest nation in the world- and they'll fight anyone to prove it'.

So true, my wife's grandpa is Irish and he offered me out when I met him for the first time. It was so funny, we were best pals though after we went to the pub :yep

Degale was boo'd because he is a ***** and was completely uninspiring in the ring... simple as.

After all the moaning I imagine there will be people boo'ing at almost all his fights now unless he makes a miraculous change in skills and personality.
