You are watching someone else. Every punch he throws is solid, he fights high pace, his jab is very heavy and his body punching is awesome. Sutherland is by far the best of the lot so far.
Sutherland looks the pick of the bunch so far, but it's a bit early to tell for sure. Seems very grounded as well, which should go in his favour.
atsch Already explained that I had alittle bit to drink when I made the original post. Sutherland is quality. :good
Sutherland is the man out all the SMWs. Degale is just a cockmouth and he could not even put that roadsweeper down the other week. His punches have no power. Sutherland has power in his shots and would KO decock without breaking a sweat. All those bull**** pitta patta punches degale throws have as much snap as someone with a broken wrist jerking off.
Do you think?, i rate Sutherland above DeGale and Jeffries and i'v never seen Groves but I would pick Anderson to beat him if they ever fight, there both big punchers and box in the same kind of way, i just think Anderson has that extra something, and he came down from lightheavy where as Sutherland came up from middle so Anderson would be the bigger guy, be years before we know, would proberly only fight for a world title.
Absolutely. If you check my posts from the Olympics I said Sutherland would take to the pros like a duck to water but DeGale would struggle. I'm glad to say Sutherland is doing as I thought. Now it is early days but I don't think any more can be asked of Sutherland. I love how he hits the ground running as soon as the bell goes. Jeffries and DeGale are riddled with flaws but Sutherland has very very few tweaks to make to his game. Sutherland is in a position to keep adding to his arsenal where as someone like DeGale honestly needs to start from scratch. I remember when I watched DeGale v Sutherland I knew DeGale had only won based on the flawed amateur system. I saw numerous body shots go unscored. I knew his aggression/inside work would not get scored. These are the sort of things that make a fighter in the pros. It isn't that Sutherland is any more talented than DeGale, it is the mentality. DeGale talks himself into believing he is something that he isn't. Sutherland on the other hand is much more humble and it affects his game. Sutherland was not shy to say he was 'embarassed' by his opponents his record. After the fight I was shocked (in a good way) to hear him say he should 'work the body more'! At present I think Sutherland has performed and is by far the best. Saunders and Jeffries don't impress me. DeGale will not get far if he doesn't alter some things. Gavin looks like a good pro. Technically solid and a hard worker in the ring.
I think Sutherland is potentially the best of the bunch. I think the fact that his profile is relatively low key in comparison to the Warren stable of Olympians will benefit him. He will be able to learn and ply his trade away from the spotlight that is on the likes of DeGale, and as a result won't have the added pressures. I also think Sutherland has the better attitude towards developing and progressing himself as a boxer. I may be wrong, but I get the impression DeGale takes one or two things for granted - and ultimately that leads to a downfall. I think Darren wil be around at the higher level for longer, if he lives up to his potential.
kenny anderson is 2 years more advanced in the pro ranks than the boys who have just turned over, and that may tell if and when they meet,i can see kenny winning the british title and moving on before these lads get to british title levels
