"Thaxton seems to have grown old overnight"said Murray.
"But i'd fight Mezaache.Lets get him in a small ring and fight at my pace.I'd love it in Manchester but I'd have no problem going to France"
Hennessy Sports have options on the Frenchman.

"I read articles saying they've (Hennessy Sports) offered 5 mill to Taylor to fight Froch and 400 G to Amir Khan to fight Thaxton..They need to spend some of that money on me"

"After Meager and McAllister I was told i'd be kept busy, I was hoping to be back out in March or April but now it'sthe end of May..."

I think that French guy is a good fight for Murray. He can win it.

I think anyone who can hold their boxing together and get fit will beat the french dude. He was pretty mediocre. I can't believe Thaxton lost to someone so limited.

Ha, Murray would kill that Frenchman. The guy had no redeeming qualities and no power. Murray would walk him down and brutalize him.

Thaxton put on a 'shot' performance IMO, one that he had been hinting at before he was flattered by that Spanish guy.

  8. Sorry mate but Jono is shot.... he should hang us his gloves. When you lose to a no name 30 year old 15-5-3 who was picked to make you look good.... Its time to go

Murray should fight Mezzache he should be able to win quite easily

I think Thaxton really underestimated the French fighter then after the early knock down he blew his arse out trying to finish it thus ****ing himself over against a fighter who came to win a long fight. Stupid by Thaxton and too late now to really get back on track.

Khan will be laughing and no real need for Murray to fight him now unless he feels he needs 4/5 fights at his current level (domestic/euro class).

Brilliant fight for Murray, in that he easily gains a European title and therefore automatically in the top 10 of at least 2 major governing bodies. Mezzache is a dead man walking, he'll lose the title next fight, regardless of who he fights.

Limond needs to get his crack back on instead of ****ing about with the WBU. Depends on what he wants from the sport. His WBU route and promotion may bring money but not much else. No doubt he will still give any European lightweight a good fight though.

from the same article: "Thaxton brings nothing to the table" and didn't give Murray a shot when he wanted it. True. There could a have been a lot on the table in Murray-Thaxton - much less now.
