Defend the title another 10 times and fight until he is 35. And beat everyone in front of him in decisive fashion.

Face it, he is never going to have a career defining fight that is blood and guts. There is simply no fighter on the scene or coming along that will be remotely close to level of skill.
If he retires in 4 or 5 years having made 10+ defenses since this time, that will be 12 or more defenses, if you consider his unification fight with Ibragimov the starting point. And it will be 16 defenses of the IBF Belt.

I doubt he will be considered Top 5 ATG, but at that point I think he will deserve the number 10 spot within the Top 10.

He is not going to get there taking 6 months off between fights either he has wasted the first half of 2009 dealing with a Glass Jawed Cruiserweight. He needs to fight 3 times a year in a weak Division like this.

No offense dude, but your post compeltely ignores the fact that Tyson got stopped against a club fighter with four losses when he was only 23 years old, and was never again the same fighter.

I have always thought that Tyson was very overrated.

Unify at least one other belt, defend them for at least another 8-10 defenses on top of that, and retire as champ.

Anyone who tells you he wouldn't even be top 10 in such a scenario is lying their asses off, let alone those saying he could never be top 15 or top 20.

But he generally tore through the competition. Getting into Tyson's whole career...I can't quite do that in this thread. We all know that Tyson's career messed up big-time.

But thanks for a respectful post and not flaming. :good

I agree he could beat everyone in the top ten including his brother and it still wouldn`t help his case very much.

well he could have Ko'd Peter Rahman and Thompson much earlier but he didn't because he was using his jab because he was afraid to commit because he is a concentrating too much on not loosing. Tyson or Lewis would see an opening and finish the fight. so nunu to you.

I am not sure he can. the losses he has on his record added to the names which he has available to beat in the future in a disastrous heavyweight division mean he probably will never be top 5 ATG

Beat Haye, Valuev and then retire! he will never fight Vitali, so there is nothing more he can do! honest i dont think HW will improve much in a long time, so people might give him some credit in 2-3 years from now.
