I must have missed the part of the rules where it states "If no one wants to see one fighter as champion, the 10 point must system goes out of the window, and he loses automatically."


Like someone else said, if Ali did the same then he would've been called brilliant, inventive and showing another aspect of his greatness at psychological warfare. Young did it to get a mental edge on Ali and it worked. So what? Every fighter fouls. Unless the referee takes away a point or disqualifies, you can't play ref by your own, although a lot of people here seem to think so, because it's about Ali.

 

ali was the fighter of the 1960's and the athlete of the 20th century ,thats all that has to be said.i enjoyed watching ali's fights on wide world of sports in the 60's he made that decade fun .yeah he held behind the head.but because who he was he got away with it,there'll never be another fighter like him.get off his back man

Young was clever and the tactic he used (sweat pea picked up"sticking his head out of the ring) Ali got away with the neck pulling and leaning for years because of who he was most of the ref's were intimadated.....Young should have gotten the win but Ali had the boxing politicos on his side....Young get discouraged after the Norton fight and the Ali fight...grew a pair of man boobs and decided to keep them..
