But bowe is seen as a bit of a black sheep for his shameless ducking of lewis and also throwing the green & gold belt in the bin rather then fighting his no.1 contender :patsch

They probably would. Compared to most heavyweight champs they are not that bad, but what makes them good is their size.

    Wlad - yes
    Vitali - no

But they would both be inducted if they retired today anyway

Both. Wladimir more so based on legacy but Vitali gets in based on returning to the ring after a four year layoff with an impressive KO win and sharing "The bros dream of being the first HW beltholder brothers at the same time." Vitali also has that impressive KO ratio & he was recognized as the last Ring Mag champion.

Both have the potential but neither have in my opinion as of yet.

Vitali's two best fighters have been a stoppage on cuts and a stoppage on injury - So far not HOF worthy.

Wlad has been KTFO'd by fringe contenders like 3 times.

I don't see any names on their resume's or amazing fights that have put either man into the hall yet,

This about sums it up... my initial thought was "well, if Jess Willard is in...". I hate the "if guy A is in then guy B should be" as it leads to an inevitible watering down.

Isn't the criteria that a certain number HAVE to be inducted each year?

Anyway, Wlad yes, Vitali no (as of right now; but Vitali will get in with a few more wins).

if they were both the same person then mos def. a great comback (vitali) a great winning streak (wlad) and a very good resume the such (mostly wlad)

but vitali is to inconcisdent, his best wins are prolly danny williams, sam peter and kirk johnson. which are good contenders in there own rigth but not hall of fame worthy. only his comeback gives him a reaosn to be in th ehall of fame and even that isnt

wlad has a better record wins over byrd 2x, first man to stop mercer (old but still active), stops decent contender jameel mccline, boxed sam peter, destroyed calvin brock, stopped a hopeless ray austin but did it without throwing a right hand, turned his loss against brewster...even tho most feel brewster is/was passed it by this point, ud and unified against sultan, stopped solid enough contender thompson in a close but one sided fight. and stops and possibly retires former undisputed heavyweight champ hasim rahman.

good wins but needs to unify and solidify his claim as top dog.

How is that a stupid remark? These guys are huge and wear the smaller guys out by walking them down and getting them to back up and take their will ,and after they do that they land their big punches in the end. I give them credit for using thier jab effectively as a measuring stick, but that size is everything for the Klitchkos. In a way the advent of the big heavyweight has also brought us the sloppiest heavyweights. Lennox was great ,but his footwork was terrible. That right hand offset the bad footwork.

it is not the same sh**. Size is an unfair advantage in a way. But what can boxing do about it then? Make a superheavyweight division? The smaller heavyweights will not want that because the superheavyweights will be the real heavyweights in most people's minds. The size issue is why I think someone like Evander Holyfield has to be rated very high, yet he will not because the wins are not there to be the best ever at heavyweight, but if you put size and accomplishment together, he was incredible. That sounds ridiculous until you see the size of the guys he fought and beat. No other heavyweight has beaten those kinds of guys the way Evander did, and the guys he beat are the top level of 15 years of heavyweights. Haye is talked about too much. I want to see him fight Klitchko, but until he fights him and beats him with his speed ,then the argument means nothing and neither does his speed. But if Haye would beat the same guys the Klitchko's have beaten then I would say he is greater than them-considering his size. The size advantage is everything for the Klitchkos. I bet if you asked Emanual Steward about this size issue that he would agree-if he were being honest.
