The ref wasnt at his best but it was clear from the start that Floyd was in control.Ricky did ok for a few rounds but wasnt wining many of them.Floyd figured him out quickly and from round 3 onwards it was clear it was not going to be Ricky`s night and the only question was would Floyd win by ko or points.
No one is argueing the result of the fight Mayweather is te better boxer. Period Our dispute is how ****in bad Cortez was, it was a disgrace. How can you go from breaking everything up and punishing Hatton, to letting B Hop get away with EVERYTHING against Calzaghe. Wheres the consitancy? As boxing fans we wanted to see a fair fight, and we got deprived of it. WERE NOT DISPUTING THE RESULT, just the referee and Floyds tactics
yes it is, puerto rico is a self governing territory of the United States and it's head of state is the president of the US idiot
Stopped reading after "Cortez deducted a point for nothing". You honestly think Cortez deducted a point for nothing or are you just one of the many mixed up British fans who thought Hatton won 100% fair and clean against Tszyu in England? If so then I assure you that you're missing quite a lot of REAL boxing rules by assuming he was deducted a point for nothing. Hatton has been throwing and landing INTENTIONAL punches to the back of the head from round 1 against Mayweather, he was warned NUMEROUS times for it and just kept doing it. If you thought he was going to be allowed to hold and it, throw punches to the back of the head, shove, elbow, headbutt, lowblow and many more whenever he wishes like he was against Tszyu then you thought wrong. There's a reason Hatton tried to make Mayweather go to him to England back when they were both at 140, and that's when Mayweather called him out. :deal
No one in the Puerto Rico considers themselves American. It might be our territory but it's not like Cortez was against Hatton because is Puerto Rican and FLoyd is American and they should stick together. You're an idiot.
I had the fight 7-2 for floyd going into the 10th, having given ricky a share of the 1st and the 2nd and 4th rounds as i felt he was forcing the action, the rest i gave to mayweather tho it was close. i agree tho, floyd was just taking his time, and when he had hatton sussed he took him out. out-thought, *********, out-classed and then knocked out. an easy fight for floyd.
So why didn`t he break clinches when Hatton fought Castillo? Or is that a silly question?Thats something eze wouldn`t bring up because he can`t suss anything.
Next Hatton fight... Should remove Ring post a bit further away on a safer distance and put cushions at them just in case. Find a ref from MMA to referee the fight. Clinching should be legal. No referee named Joe Cortez should be allowed to ref his bout.(who needs a ref?) Punching behind the head is legal. Getting out of clinch gives deduction.
If I hear another one of you british jerk offs say that **** again. I suggest you watch the Hatton Castillo fight .....count how many clinches he broke. Count how many times he brought both fighters together and warned them about fighting ugly/dirty.... And wait........all in the first ****ing round. That fight was boring and lame as **** until the knockout punch. No memory having mother****er.
