You're making it seem as if Maussa and ARnoutis are nobodies... Who was Hatton fighting prior to the Tszyu fight?
Phillips, Tackie, Thaxton, Meagee. Tough domestic fights and fringe world level contenders. Maussa is a nobody, once he lost to Hatton that little train feel off the tracks and he gets stopped by anyone now. Whats Ortiz actually done? Besides getting KO'd by Kahn that is?
they're not nobodies and they're a good level of opposition at this stage in his career, but as i said they're not top tier fighters at 140 no where near.
:rofl Old ass Philips, tackie, thaxton, and Meagee???? Are u bragging about that??.. lol... Maussa and Arnoutis are just as tough and good, if not better, than those guys... I mean seriously... Philips...rofl and i love it when people bring up those insignificant amatuer wins.. Kelson Pinto beat Cotto in the AMS but got murdered in the pros.... Amatuer wins means absolutely nothing..
We all know Hattons career didn't take off until he best Tzsyu.. thats not in doubt. But Hatton did what he had to do under that moron Warren. Seriously Ortiz is a prospect nothing more.. he is nowhere near having the ability to beat Hatton right now. To say otherwise is just stupid. He's beat nobody in the top and and until he does so he is an easy KO. Ortiz has a **** load to prove. Oh and putting smileys everywhere does little else to validate your points, makes you look pathetic and childish if nothing else.
An off night? dont start making excuses he was caught clean with a good punch by a old faded out of his best weight fighter and was ALMOST out dont get carry alway from the Paulie ''feather fist'' victory i bet your ass that if Paulie would have had some pop on his punches he would have also hurt Hatton mark my word... I just think Victor Ortiz CAN beat Hatton at this stage like i siad he has the speed power skills ect.. to put a whooping on him and bust him all up not to mention he's younger...not taking anything alway from Hatton but i just dont think he's the same fighter he once was... that's the only 140 top fighter i will give Ortiz a very good change to beat that this stage right now.
Hatton was coming back from KO loss. Give the guy a break he must have been low on confidence and he didn't look great in that fight, but you know what ? he still won and he won with a wide UD. It had its rocky patches but he was still comfortable and took what was eventually an easy win. Seriously if all you have to downplay Hatton is the Lazcano fight go do one. Ortiz is no where near Hatton, power speed means **** all when someones in your chest, ask Kostya Tzsyu. His power, speed and accuracy is the best ever at 140 IMO but it doesn't matter when someones not playing around at mid distance. How would Ortiz deal with this? Who has he fought that fights remotley at that intensity? Hatton will cut the ring off in seconds, he is second to none at cutting down the ring and he will be in Ortizes face all night landing big to the body and to the head. So.. in your opinion what does Ortiz do? What has he done that makes you think he is capable of keeping Hatton away from him? His inexperience will cripple him in this fight.
Not saying he's the top fighter at 140 that's just dumb but he has gave and will give other top fighters in that division a run for there money in other words not a BUM or a walk in the park. Now you answer me this question...who would you pick to had stop him in 2 ****ing rounds like Ortiz did? cause Torres who ''suppose'' to be one of the hardest punchers at 140 couldn't do it not to mention some people even think he lost that fight so who?
i love hatton, but what exactly has he done in recent times to automatically think he'll whooop on a young man like ortiz....
Which is fine. I don't think he's a bum either...but I thought calling him a top fighter was a stretch. He's solid. I think we can all agree on that. I wouldn't be able to answer because I've never seen the Arnoutis-Torres fight. At the same time though it's not surprising Ortiz KO'd Arnoutis. Ortiz has LEGIT lighttower power. I don't deny for a fact that the dude can crack and I'm of the belief that him, Holt, Bradley and Juan Diaz (who I figure to move up to 140) will be the leaders of that division. The things to be questioned are his discipline in a tough fight, his stamina in a long fight, his ability to handle a tremendous swarmer like Hatton. His ability to handle being wrestled and muscled around. Those are still question marks...especially against a fringe Top 10 P4P guy like Hatton. It's nothing Ortiz does that makes him the underdog, It's everything we don't KNOW yet that makes him the underdog.
There you have it you just answer your own statement were you told me that Hatton had an OFF NIGHT in that fight see it wasn't as you say it was. Yes your right Ortiz right now is not near Hatton he will be a MUCH way better boxer in a few years than Hatton ever was...are who talking about the old Kostya Tzsyu that quit against him and the one who got knocked out more impressive by Vince Phillips? sure he WAS great and one of my favorite fighters but he was no near as good he was when he faced Hatton are you also going to bring up the Castillo fight? like i told you Hatton is not near as good he once was that's why i pick Ortiz to beat him at this stage i could be wrong maybe he does needs a few more fights on him but i dont think he will need them to fight a fighter like Hatton. Hatton will be eating shot's also to the body and head maybe even more powerful one's dont forget hatton face gets bust up real quilk and bad **** even feather fist Paulie bust his face up imagine what a younger stronger faster fighter like Victor Ortiz would do to him? here's a little reminder of how Hatton face looked like against a feather fist fighter... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSnYGt195m4
