So, what, you're telling us that Margo is a master technician? JMM with a mullet?

Hell, everyone's waiting to get knocked out. Kirkland's body isn't exactly soft. At lower weight classes, sure, maybe. The punch he's most vulnerable to is the punch Margo throws the best, so at lower weight classes, AM would be on top... but it wouldn't be a Hopkins schooling, it'd be one or the other going out on their shield - in other words: good stuff.

Margarito can box, he just takes far too many punches but then so does Kirkland and I think Margarito would soften him up to the body and make Kirkland slow down and it would be check mate after that.

EVERYBODY has a better defence than Antonio 'Manos De Plaster' Margocheato.

Kirkland beats him imo. Santos handled Margo twice in thier fights and he dont hit no where near as hard as James and is not a pressure fighter either. Margo just does not fight well at 154 cause his size is comparable to those guys at 154. Kirkland pushes back and stays on his chest landing at will since Margo is so easy to hit. If Shane can stop him then Kirkland should as well.

Those are points I can get behind.
I've seen in this and earlier fights that Kirkland will make adjustments, then seem to decide that his opponent can't hurt him, so he goes back to the bad habits. With this last one, when he double-jabbed and/or used head movement to take away Julio's right hand, it worked and he kept doing it... until Julio would move straight back or trade, then all those good tactics would go out the window.

If he's up against a guy whose power demands respect, will he find the emotional discipline to work intelligently or will his heart get his head knocked off? I hope it's the former, but my gut tells me it's the latter. I don't think he'd quit after that - maybe he'll learn from it and build the skills & mental framework you're looking for.

Kirkland would beat the **** out of Margarito. Margarito starts slow and Kirkland starts fast has faster hands and Margarito has shitty defense and cannot fight backing up. One thing is for damned sure is that Kirkland would be backing him up from round 1. Margarito is a come forward plodder who is not physically strong. Mosley was tossing him around like a ****ing rag doll. That clown ass Tabin really needs to shut the **** up. As if Margarito could do anything to keep Kirkland off of him. He has no jab, the mother****er cant even clinch.

By the time this fight happens . . . Margarito should be old and faded :D

. . . and besides Margarito already tried 154 and did not show very convincing result . . . I'm picking Kirland.

I was thinking about this fight too, last night. I don't think Margo could handle the relentless pressure from a fighter who is stronger and doesn't back down...I think he'd probably actually get rid of him faster than Shane did.

I think Mosely is way too good of a boxer...He'd maybe wear Kirkland down and stop him late.

But Kirkland is stronger than anybody Mosley has fought in his whole career and that would play a difference.

But he just fights off of pure grit...I like him, don't get me wrong, gut Shanes isn't a weak fighter himself...and he has the experience and the arsenal to beat him badly...the combos would do him in.

Neither does Maragarito who is totally unproven at 154.

Uh...that's what Kirkland has been doing his entire pro career.
