Ew!! A brutal one eh? I know when picking Khan you're only ever one punch away from looking silly but I think youth and speed will have its day in this fight.
Can't see it going the distance. T/KO is a definite for me. Khan won't get up off his arse to beat Barrera. If he goes down then Barrera will close the show. We'll see just how shot Barrera is though. Scar tissue is a problem Does anyone know who the referee is. Don't want to see any stoppages just because Khan is throwing a load of shots (that aren't nessicarily landing)
Im goin for a Khan win between 6 - 8, not because i think Khan is a great fighter but because Frank Warren and Roach wouldnt have risked Khan with Barerra if they thought Barerra was anything like his best .. This is going to be a case of Khan feasting on the bones of a once great fighter who is sliding into retirement. It'll give Khan the bump he needs at this point in his career but im hoping Barerra gives him a lesson
this aint going the distance thats for sure.... after that it all depends on how shot Barrera is! If he is the same level as the previous fight against the taxi driver who head butted him, then its a Kahn KO..... We know barrera can take a punch, so if he has anything left in the tank and can connect at all then it will be Barreras night...... and i think he may just have enough left Barrera TKO/KO
Barrera by KO/TKO. Come on guys, Khan gets put on his ass constantly. Barrera is gonna spark him if he's anything around 50%
On evidence of this thread, Barrera looks like he is the underdog. On the evidence of the bookies, Khan is the favorite. It's going to be Morales III, Morales I, and Hamed all over again. His three greatest performances, always a huge underdog.
For me the key to this fight is Khan's game plan which Roach will lay out, he needs to carry this out word for word. If Khan makes mistakes vs MAB he will jump on him and make Khan pay. Khan needs to keep pumping that fast jab, I see this fast jab and in out of range punches unsettling MAB after a few rounds and will force MAB to try going for Khan in the 4/5 rounds, this is when Khan can counter and turn up the heat. Khan needs to use all his reach adv, fast feet, and fast jab to win this fight. I see Khan stopping MAB in the 6th.
Barrera by KO. If Khan wins, it won't quite mean as much in reality as it does on paper (beating Barrera past ihs best, and naturally smaller) - but I'll still give him his props. Barrera may not be what he was but he's still a very good fighter and you still need to be a pretty decent fighter to beat him. Khan does have a chance - best he'll ever have - to win, but I think Barrera will be smart enough and experienced enough and eventually be able to land that one punch that will be the beginning of the end of Khan in this fight.
