As of now, Do You Think the Klitschko Brothers would make it into the HOF?

  1. You're right on point. I am also sympathetic to the idea that great credit should be given in many cases to the "smaller" successful heavyweights (while acknowledging that it is somewhat difficult to singularly define). The talented US big men (6'5" - 6'9") that are superb athletes, quick, fast, exceptionally strong, and tough are not boxing. It is bit like there is war going on and all the men have shipped out and only the cripples and the Klitschkos are left competing (the cripples being all of the "c" & "d" level athletes that didn't have the skill and talent to play pro football, basketball, etc.). The Klitschkos look good by comparison but everyone knows that guys like Ray Austin are scrubs. The Klitschkos are also actually more fit than nearly all the scrubs in the heavyweight division and/or have the better size. There are US athletes with the same size that are considerably better athletes with substantially better strength and conditioning that would have the speed and power to completely negate everything about their game. If the benchwarmers in the pros weren't making so much coin to do nothing it would be more apparent just how good and far from great the Klitschkos actually are. There are likely dozens upon dozens of Lennox Lewis level athletes that are not boxing. It is a pity that the division is in such a sorry state today.

Is that a tricky thread which in hidden way assumes that either Wlad or Vitaly are "lineal" HW champions?

I think Vitali needs to win a few more fights to qualify. If he can grab another belt and unify he is in.
