to summarise the article, palle stated, that he felt it was regretable, that it had to come to this.

he tried to compromise, but in the end felt, that kessler and his advisors had been very confrontational, but palle still hoped they would come around, not only on his behalf, but also on behalf of the danish fans.

this just has the looks, of something, going into deep ****. too bad

unbelievable.......there are a number of issues to be resolved here and therefore kessler can expect to be out for a while.
Kessler signed a legal valid contract
Palle (wrong in our opinion) has fullfilled his contractural obligations

therefore if kessler whom wants to change this contract then legally speaking, he is in the wrong. However the key point in this is Palles exclusion clauses which he seems to be threatening kessler with amounts to a restriction on the free movement of workers under EU law so I cant understand this from a legal perspective ie; it illegal.

also the level of bias in this article is a joke

"The situation we are very sorry, not only on its own behalf but also for the Danish boxing audience, and it is our hope that Mikkel Kessler and his advisers will soon depart from the highly confrontational approach and contribute to an equitable solution through the case,"

    yes its completely kesslers fault.......

That's what I mean - in Germany such **** wouldn't happen b/c of jurisdication and legislation...you can't bend the law in your favour by any means...

    Oh for f*s sake!

PLEASE JUST LET MIKKEL KESSLER GO!

    I have a solution.

Let Kessler sign with another promotion, and make a contract guaranteeing a percentage of his purse to Palle for let's say 3 fights. Since this mob family is incapable of putting a big fight together, they'd benefit more with Kessler fighting under a capable promotional company, getting more money. That'd make everyone happy.

No Kessler fight = no money.

Palle is telling how much money he'd offerd Kessler, making Kessler look greedy to the man on the street. Kesslers agenda is to have big fights, not Larsen kind of fights, even if the money is big, to bad he don't speak up, but that's not his style.

no.. not really.. boxing as a sport, isnt that big of a deal in denmark. The knowledge regarding boxing, opponents, politics etc etc, isnt really something thats being talked about. The journalists simply dont know enough about boxing.

at one point, it was vaguely mentioned, that he was feeding his fighters, with opponents who simple werent good enough, but thats pretty much it.

this is just guesswork, but if you asked the general person on the streets about this case, im quite sure, they might just favour palle. THIS is based upon, that the average ****er, wouldnt know, if palle has neglected to fullfil kesslers ambitions.

furthermore, kessler has signed a legally binding contract. Believe it or not, sometimes, there isnt much sympathy for persons, who signs a contract, earns loads of money and then suddenly wants out. THAT is something every average ****er would have an opinion about.

this case though, seems to be getting more attention, so hopefully this will put pressure on both parties, to come to an agreement. This seems unlikely though, as palle has complained publically about, kessler refused almost 2 mill dollar, for the larsen fight. Basically palle wants this fight as his big farewell.

This is the noone wins situation. It is very regrettable. I hope Kessler just keeps fighting and signs with another promoter. Take the legal battle later.

None of us are capable of saying who is right or wrong or who will win the lawsuit. But frankly we can say that Kessler does not want to fight for Palle because he is not satisfied with the job that they are doing.

Boxing is not big enough in DK to create enough pressure on Palle to make him give up his only asset, Palle frankly does not care **** about public opinion anyway. He is a very Square person and that is basically also the reason that he is not able to sign a big fight for Kessler.

Looks like a replay of the Larsen situation
