Thats the only realistic match ups out there for PBF ... is the mythical matchups against the ATG of boxing from 130-147 or even as high as 154.

He's definitely the greatest fighter of this era and you would have to go back atleast 20 or more years to find a fighter who would be more competetive than fighters now.

Fighters with controlled aggression, who aren't reckless like Hatton or Pacquiao ... fighters who stick with their jabs the whole fight even if it is their only punch ... and they know how to disguise the jab or throw it from different angles.

A fighter who's conditioned to fight 15 or more rounds ...

Its not about speed or power ... they have to be able to box too ... and move accordingly ...

the JMM that fought Diaz would get knocked out by Mayweather within 5 rounds ... he has shorter arms ... Mayweather would be the aggressor ... and Mayweather is bigger physically ... I'm sure that Mayweather is a better boxer than Marquez as well.

there was a pole on ESB about Mayweather vs Mosley and the majority picked Mayweather ... Mosley is strong and fast but he has trouble against pure boxers and it shows in his record.

Pacquiao is good physically but he's not a good boxer at all ... he's been outboxed before ...

Your making the grave mistake in thinking Floyd's chin is made of steal.

Mayweather was shooken up and put to a knee by a counter right hook from Zab Judah. That shows me he makes mistakes and something like that can be VERY detrimental in a fight against a legit WW.

Had that been a bigger WW he would've actually had his ass on the canvas.

Think about it. His fights at WW were against smaller men and guys with no KO power.

Any guy at WW can beat him if they pressure and hit him enough times to keep him in a shell.

Cotto and Mosley have the best shot because they're bigger than Mayweather. They can also eat whatever he dishes out. Cotto would stalk Mayweather down and cut the ring off effectively and work on the inside pretty intensely. Mayweather doesnt have a strong enough right hand to keep Cotto honest. Whereas Cotto has a strong stiff jab that will keep Mayweather hesitant to box. He will potshot and Cotto will land the telling blows. I see Cotto stealing the decision. Or possibly even stopping him late in the fight.

BOth MOsley and Cotto has a good chance at 147....

Pacman would get dominated.. he'd get shut out and knocked out..

Floyd can't make 140 without hurting himself so im not even going to think about no floyd/marquez..

I don't know if we're talking about the same Mayweather, because the Mayweather I'm talking about has a good chin ... when he has been hit hes' taken some big shots.

Everyone on these boards knows that Mayweather has a good chin --

Cotto isn't bigger than Mayweather ... Cotto isn't a big welterweight and he has shorter arms than Mayweather ... he's a small welterweight thats why he got destroyed by Margarito ... its not about power or size ... If Cotto had a good chin, some defense, and decent smarts as a fighter, he would've blew Margarito out the frame.

Cotto's chin is shaky ... Mayweather would stop Cotto ... I think most of you are underestimating Mayweather's size ... Mayweather looked bigger than DLH who has fought as high as 160 lbs --

Cotto isn't the one to beat Mayweather, he won't even come close ... it would be a blowout victory and possibly a stoppage.

Mosley has been outboxed several times ... he doesn't have any defense for the jab ... put the jab in his face and you're sure to get a UD on him.
Mosley is also stiff and has suspect movement -- He gets hit alot --

COTTO does not have a weak chin... That's one of the biggest misconceptions in boxing..

Cotto would walk into alot of **** ... he doesn't have any defense for the right hand and thats Mayweather's money punch ... Cotto is not skilled enought to go 12 rounds with Mayweather ... you guys can keep thinking what you think, but i'm sure that if the fight happened, the moment would knock Cotto out more than Mayweather could.

    Mayweather TKO 8 Cotto
    Mayweather TKO 10 Pacquiao
    Mayweather TKO 7 Marquez
Mayweather UD 12 or late rounds stoppage Mosley

Cotto has been hurt more times than not in his fight and even if he isn't hurt, he's getting hit alot ... and that just = target practice for Mayweather.

If you honestly believe that Mosley would be stopped by Mayweather than are clearly a man with many delusional boxing fantasies and no real concept of how a fight would pan out.

Mayweather doesnt have a good chin. What fight do you think showed how good his chin was? Being wobbled by Demarcus Corley?

Maybe some fight during his 130 and 135 days?

    yea...some chin he has.

You're against mistaken that Cotto isn't a big WW. Yea he's smaller in comparison to the rest of the legit WW. But Mayweather isn't a legit WW. Cotto having shorter arms has never been a problem for him. He usually ALWAYS has the shorter arms. The only man to beat him was a guy able to take punches and keep coming forward. Mayweather has never employed such a strategy. Mayweather @ 147 is not a good finisher. He would never take out Cotto.

If DLH can keep pressure Mayweather quite effectively by using the jab and cutting off the ring efficiently, then Cotto can do it much better. Mayweather began to dodge the jab because DLH stopped cutting off the ring and just chased him. Cotto won't make that mistake and will put a serious dent on Mayweather.

Mayweather also has a fragile body. Has been inactive and has shown to not throw as much when having a broken hand. Such a fatal occurrance of that nature whether is be his hand, shoulder, or anything else. Mayweather is done.

    It'll be

    Mayweather SD
Cotto UD (VERY CLOSE AND DEBATABLE ala Berto Collazo)
    Cotto TKO 12

The fact that you also said Cotto TKO 8 and Pac TKO 10...makes your assesments ridiculous.

The rest I agree with. I actually think Marquez goes down in 5 or 6. He gets hit more often than Cotto does.

paul williams @ 147.... are better than all of their chance..

but of your options... mosley i guess... i feel mosley would have a better chance than cotto due to exp... but it would be pretty even between mosley & cotto

it woudl be like picking ken or ryu in street fighter to beat akuma
