    BOXING brothers Ahmed and Mohamed Elomar have branded the sport's officialdom "racist *******s" after they were sensationally banned for six months yesterday.

    The pair cannot fight again until September for throwing chairs during an appalling fight-night riot in Gosford last year - both are now threatening to quit boxing altogether.

    The Boxing Authority of NSW viewed the violent footage at a "show-cause" hearing last Tuesday, and the six-month bans were received in writing yesterday.
    Furious about having to concede his newly won WBO belt, Ahmed launched a stunning attack on boxing officials while speaking to the Daily Telegraph yesterday: "The sport is full of racist *******s - that's why they've banned me and Mohamed. They've always had it in for us. They hate us.
    "The crowd throws chairs at us and we get banned. I can't believe it.
    "We did throw the chairs back, but it was self-defence.
    "What were we meant to do - just stand there and get hit from all sides?"
    Ahmed said his detention in Lebanon as a terrorism suspect in 2007 had not been forgotten by the authority.
    "It was a terrible experience that I've tried to forget, but some people want to keep putting it out there," the 26-year-old said.
    "Before that fight (against Kickett) I wore a biker's mask and they said I was inciting terrorism. How's that inciting terrorism when other boxers and wrestlers do it?
    "They are racist - it's because of my name and what happened in Lebanon."
    Ahmed and Mohamed are now vowing to never fight on Australian soil again, and are also considering an appeal through the courts.

    How about not having 20 of your mates trample into in the ring while a fighter lies concussed and in need of medical attention..

    6 months is soft IMO.

    great the boxing authority had the balls to do ban them.
    they are good fighters but the only way to punish their hangers on is unfortunately to ban them!
    authorities now need to impose struct rules on numbers in corner and after bouts.

    I blame the Australian Boxing Authorities .....

    :-( if the kant had been made to sit a Brain Scan pre fight he wouldn't have been allowed to fight in the first place as its obvious he is dull as **** if he considers a six month banning harsh , still i enjoyed seeing that other dozy kant cope a chair to the barnet . :lol:

    Hi, an Australian of Lebanese background here and I too concur with everyone who has posted here to date. Elomar is lucky he only got 6 months. Claiming self defecnce shows what an imbecile he is - throwing the chair back into the crowd, inflamed the situation and just serves to re-arm the morons who threw them first. He and his mob showed a lack of class and compassion by their actions against a fallen fighter.

    Now, Flamengo, your post is about as intelligent as a Rob Schneider movie (movies which I love). Seriously man, labelling a whole country as a 'toilet' on the actions of one individual is so neanderthal and ignorant and racist, it 'aint funny. I'm not going to even bother to mention the million positive things that the Lebanese have contributed to the world - you may not be intelligent enough to understand anyway ..... or the infinite number of negative things that pure Australians have done. There's good and bad everywhere.

    So, in essence, I agree with you in that the the Elomars are a bunch of knuckle-dragging ****wits - just don't be the one who makes them look good.

    Respect mate. Im glad that you have managed to see that the opinions that posters have written here go beyond anything racist (bar a few exceptions of course...). Most of us truly believe team elomar were a bunch of goofs that deserved what they got, leb or not.
