The most concussive single-shot puncher in boxing history in my opinion, I rate him above Jackson, Hearns or anyone else. His power was a gift from God.

Foster-RJJ would have been interesting, either RJJ by UD or Foster by death!

I think Michael Spinks would give Bob a good fight, but Archie Moore is about the only light heavy I would pick over Bob with any sort of confidence and that's a big call.

    Mucho respect for bad Bob.

You could either knock him out or get knocked out

You dont think RJJ would be able to avoid Foster for 12 rounds? Or even possibly KO Foster too?

Personally, I don't think Roy was quite as good at 175 as he was at 168. Could he avoid someone as big and rangy as Foster for the full duration? No. He would be caught at some point. Look how many times Montell Griffin caught him flush in one fight. As soon as Foster lands even a glancing blow, it's over. There's no way he wouldn't land that solitary blow at some stage. At 168, no-one who has ever fought there is touching Roy IMO.

The man honestly looked like he was fighting on weed...so calm and cool, yet so brutal. Actually one of the scariest fighters I have ever seen work because it looked like he nearly killed some of the guys he knocked out.

I think Foster would beat Roy...I dont think Roy would KO him, as Bob's chin at lightheavy was fine. I reckon as soon as Roy took a short left hook trying to bounce inside he would be on his bike all night trying to steal the fight with ineffective flurries...Bob was a true lightheavy, who hit like a true lightheavy and then some.

I think Michael Spinks beats Bob Foster. I think Bob would have a problem with Spinks Awkwardness and the fact that he's the same size as Foster. Spinks also hit almost as hard as Foster.

In all fairness we can't go by what some guy like Griffin was able to land in the first fight, due to the fact that he's style is nothing like Fosters... at all -- he is also faster than Foster and was able to hit Jones inbetween his shots, because of his timing. However, to be honest, if Foster lands one of those big punches, I am not sure that a prime Roy could take it.

A motivated Roy was dangerous to, mind you. Foster would be fighting someone with a very awkward style... I think Roy, based on ability and movement could have a chance to beat him, but I agree,on the fact that Foster's shots would decapitate him -- but Foster is a lot slower than Roy... but perhaps he can catch him.
