I think that these 9 fights would have been better if they had happened in these years...

    1 - Whitaker v Chavez in 1988 (instead of 1993)
    2 - Hopkins v Calzaghe in 2001 (instead of 2008)
    3 - Jones v Calzaghe in 2003 (instead of 2008)
    4 - Barrera v Marquez in 2004 (instead of 2007)
    5 - Lewis v Tyson in 1992 (instead of 2002)
    6 - Lewis v Holyfield in 1993 (instead of 1999)
    7 - Leonard v Hagler in 1983 (instead of 1987)
    8 - Holyfield v Tyson in 1990 (instead of 1996)
    9 - Leonard v Hearns II in 1982 (instead of 1989)

Which of these fights do you think would have had the opposite result if they happened in these years instead??

    Hopkins would beat Calzaghe
    Jones would beat Joe also
Lewis might get KO'd was kinds Green then.
Holyfield could get a decision, tight one

Good calls. You don't think Hagler could've beaten SRL in '83 then mate?

Well it could go either way, Sugar would be alot more fresh and not as ring rusty, but Hagler would be that touch more relentless. I'd be inclined to go for SRL again though.. who you got?

1, Whats the opposite result of a draw? Kidding, I think Pea still wins tho hopefully the 88 judges know how to score a fight?
    2 & 3. Both beat calz.
    4. would be closer, might favour Barrera
    5. Lewis a bit green imo, glad it didn't happen then as LL one of my faves back then!
    6. Still think LL nicks it.
    7. dunno. better fight tho as both past prime, leonard could have flurried his way to a decision again but maybe slightly favour Hagler.
    8. Same winner, diff result. Holy survives tyson onslaught he gets frustrated and loses a UD or poss SD decision
    9. Still think Leonard would find a way, just imo

When I watch the Sibson fight, I think Hagler.
If I put that out of my mind and think objectively, I edge Leonard.

One of the toughest calls to make in the world of hypothetical boxing!!

One thing is for sure, it would have been the fight of the age!

    1. Whitaker still beats Chavez.
    2. Hopkins gets the result he should have and gets a decision over Calzaghe.
    3. Jones beats Calzaghe.
    4. Barerra over Marquez.
    5. Tyson knocks Lewis out.
    6. Holyfield decisions Lewis.
    7. Another toss-up.
    8. Tyson decisions Holyfield (though I'd be more confident picking the Tyson from the 80s... the one that lost to Douglas was no longer prime... lacked the skills that made Tyson great on the way up, etc..)
    9. So difficult to call... I feel like Leonard would have won again, but he goes through hell just like the first time if he wants to win it.

    Hopkins and Jones beat Calzaghe

    Barrera beats Marquez

Lewis in 92 was still green as hell but he still would beat Mike

Holyfield still beats Tyson in 1990, he was going threw so much **** then, even Buster beat him

Most recently, Arce vs Darchinyan could have been something a few years back.
