Wlad's fights over the entire span of his career only average out to about 4 rounds per fight. He can't be letting "chumps" hang around too long.

Yes, but most of those guys he knocked out in 4 rounds or under were earlier in his career, when is competition was alot weaker. You must also factor in, since Steward has been in Wlad's corner, he has ended only 2 fighters in 4 rounds or under, Austin in 2 and Castillo in 4. Since Steward got ahold of him, he has gave him the perfect style to protect his weak chin, and also get the knockout in the later rounds, when his oppenent is already broken down from eating jabs all night, and doesn't have the stamina to mount a decent attack.

If Wlad was exciting... then heavyweight would be alive as we know it.

And you must also factor in that only 2 of Wlad's fights have gone the distance in the last 8 years.

You say that Sam Peter is exciting, and you are a huge fan of his. You don't want me to go down this road again, do you?:deal

 I'm familar with Samuel's knockout troubles as he got past mid-level oppostion. I was just trying to make the point that Wlad's new style is not made to knock people out early in fights no more, unless your a fighter like Ray Austin who looked like he was going down before Wlad even landed the first hook. Wlad's new style is built on breaking you down with the jab and the occasional straight right, and taking you out during the second half of the fight when your energy is nearly gone from a 6'6 250 pound man putting his weight on you during the clinches as well as bouncing your head back from over 100 jabs. It's a damn good system, just not as pleasing to most fans who liked the old Wlad alot better.

Knock out guys early too much and you kill half of an auditory who want to come and see you live. Because only few want to pay 300+$ for 3 minutes of a fight(or 90 seconds like with Tyson).

Interesting, the numbers are starting to even out a bit, definitely a majority would rather he fight "exciting" but we have a solid amount that cares about the winning the most. Thank you haters for being straightforward.

I'm enjoying this, it's neat so see what people think.

    :rofl:patsch

What do you people think about fighters like Shannon Briggs, John Ruiz, and Bernard Hopkins? They are all boring as hell.

Noone likes John Ruiz. Shannon Briggs is not even a world class fighter. As far as Hopkins goes, some people think he's boring, but unlike Wlad he has Hall of Fame and ATG wins on his resume, something Wlad doesn't.

    You didn't mention Mercer.

Mercer was stopped in 6 by Wlad, took Lennox a full 12 rounds to squeak out a decision. Some people had Mercer winning, too.

Yea, I know Mercer was old (41), but Wlad knocked him him down in the 1st with a head shot. No one has ever knocked Mercer down from a shot to the head.

Off-hand? I dont know, I would be guessing. Hopkins was never known for his knockout power, he's a ring tactician. Hopkins can be boring, but at least he's doing it against elite opposition. It's easy to blast away lame ass contenders like Thompson and Rahman, it's not nearly as easy when your trying to finish off fighters like Winky and Calzaghe.
