The new Mike Tyson or better?

Would he dominate the 154llb division like Mike Tyson did for Heavyweight until he meets a long rangy smart fighter like Williams as Tyson met Lewis and gets beat?

So far I think Kirkland is HOFer in the making. He is aggressive like mike, fast like mike, hits hella hard like mike, great iron chin like mike, and something that mike doesn't have of great great condition. That is A lot to deal with imo. what do you guys think?

    Ahhh.....NO.
If he stays away from Forrest,Martinez,Williams,Dzinziruk,Spinks,Foreman,Alcine,Santos he might have a chance.
Also Mora is a spoiler too.
Guys like Julio,Angulo,Mayorga,Ouma are his fights.

Kirkland is the new Lacy but if he takes his time and moves up correctly who knows who he will become so far I see a Lacy repeat here.

    Such a bad comparison...

You really need to go back and watch Mike Tyson's fights.

:patsch This is one of the dumbest post I've ever seen. Tyson was a GREAT fighter one of the best to ever fight at HW, at his peak he had great skill, defense and is was one the greatest punchers of all time. As for Tyson losing to Lewis anyone with half a brain could see after the Nielson fight he was a very faded and shot fighter. I like Kirkland but to imply he is better than Tyson is just plain ignorant. He has nothing on Tyson, as Tyson P4P was faster, far more skilled, and was a better puncher, and he didn't have defensive flaws that Kirkland has, hell even after 4 yrs downtime he had better defense than Kirkland. If anything Kirkland is more like Lacy, the other guy that was supposed to be the new Tyson.

He is not but he definitely is fun to watch. Btw, Selcuk Aydin is fighting uner "Mini-Tyson" mokier and, yes, he is quite intimidating as well...

    Selcuk Aydin can bang.

Rumours have it, he's roughing up all the cubans in Öhner's stable, including the likes of Gamboa.

ha ha ha. here we go again. Is James Kirkland the new mike tyson? NO! James Kirkland is James Kirkland. Pisses me off when we see a decent talent and start comparing them to all time greats. Lets compare tyson and kirkland when hes retired. Besides Kirkland isnt a heavyweight. A More accurate comparision would be Duran.
