I'm sure he does a training session the morning of the weigh-in, to lose the extra few remaining pounds...2-3?? He trains light every day, and eats very little, in the last few days...then, he eats and drinks almost nothing, whilst still training light, in the last 2 days.

It's not like the goalie, who loses mostly water, under the thick pads/clothes, because the goalie doesn't go in goal already dehydrated. Bute loses 7-8 pounds, as Maxime says, day after day, when training hard for endurance, but he puts almost all of it back later on that day...it's mostly fluid anyway.

I wrote an email to him explaining the "controversy" about a week after the fight. He answered and seemed to understand. I'm disappointed he didn't get it after all...in this article he states some false things, like for example, that there was still time on the clock after the 8 count, etc. He doesn't know the IBF rules either. Disappointing.

I first thought he meant "a few seconds remaining when he got down". If he meant a few seconds remaining when Bute was up, you're right, he's wrong. Totally. And anyone who says that there is a controversy about te ref stopping the count because the opponent is in the middle of the ring is biased. That was pretty clear.

It won't be Wright. Most likely, it will be an American (IBF) referee. Plenty of options there. e.g. Lindsey Page Jr., Earl Morton, Eddie Cotton...

    Stephane Larouche Article!!!

As long as he gives his best to stay away from contreversy and the fight ends in a clear and decisive way.
Because, we don't need another notch in Montreal's rep.

Boxing is good for Montreal and Montreal is good for boxing!

    Let's keep it clean...
