Here's the deal. Haye had a career pay day in his grasp. He also had the chance to gain TWO world title belts which he could make a fortune defending before facing a real contender if he won. In addition to that, Haye might be viewed as the #1 heavyweight in the world if he won.

Haye could not sign the contract. This reeks of Audrey Harrion not wanting to fight anyone before he was knocked out.

Do you think Haye is ducking Wlad by not taking his offer?

Remember it is the champion who dictates the terms in almost all cases, not the challenger!

    Thoughts are welcome.

How is anyone supposed to answer? None of us know what the terms are.
We don't know if they're still negotiating and we have only the word of a disreputable journo to suggest that they are not.

Haye will get a least a million dollars, and a once in a life time chance.
Haye will make more than Ray Austin or Toney Thompson, who fought Wlad.

In addition, two easy alphabets defences before a mandatory where Haye will make at least a million a fight IF he defeats Wlad.

By not agreeing to terms, Haye silence is preventing a fight the fans want to see. Yes--I think Haye is ducking Wlad. His mouth is writing a very big check that his chin fears cashing.

If the terms are the ones that I saw banded about here they were obviously designed so that Haye would not sign.

Odds are this fight will still happen anyway. Threads like this are clearly only going to start arguments between Wlad Nuthuggers and Wlad Haters.

I don't know but if i was betting i would put a lot of money on Haye not ducking Wlad it makes no sense whatsoever.

Hey now, the Haye fans will have nothing to say if there man can't take this fight. Like I said Haye is going to make a lot of money, and have a chance at fame. So what's the deal? why won't he sign?

If Haye manager does not like the deal, he bitches about in public, but if he lies and Wlad shows the world what he's offering, his fighter will look really bad.

This thread has no merit without the contract infront of us. If Haye is refusing to sign then we need to read the contract and decide for ourselves wether he is being stupid or not.

    End Thread.

ESPN Dan Raphael, who is the mouthpiece for boxing contracts, says Haye is the person who is causing the delay.

Conincidently how many "Haye fans" do you know that argue on these threads? Not many is the answer they are almost exclusliivly Wlad Haters.

You really have no idea why its not been signed yet. Do you really think Haye doesn't want to fight Wlad?

Obviously you are speculating to try to make Wlad look good and Haye bad. I am sure it will work in this thread, well done I am sure some other Wlad nuthuggers will join you soon to give you a hand.:good

I'm not particulaly a fan of either Haye or Wlad but want this fight to happen.

As said above if the terms haven't changed from the ones being leaked to various publications then Haye is not ducking anyone. The re-match clauses were pathetic and would have tied him down for at least 2 years in my opinion.

The fight will still go ahead but maybe not until 2010.

They are not negotiating anymore. Every internet boxing site has reported this. It seems to be over.

And yes, Haye ducked Wlad.We do not know the terms but we know that Haye screamed like a mad man for Wlad last year and was not willing to sign the contract.

Show me the contract so I can decide wether his reasons for refusing to sign are merited or not.

What part of that are you struggling with?
Asking people, well basically telling people that Haye is ducking Wlad based on refusing to sign a contract when we have NO idea what that contract is is stupid, no?

If Haye is still around in 2010.

Let's see first how he does against a couple of contenders. Everybody is tired of his talk and beating an old Mormeck does not justify his trash talk at all.

No, Wlad Haters have been very LOUD. Haye fans really have not said much in comparison.

Do you think this fight wont happen at some point?
