    Superfights

The term Superfight was used by the yanks to define the Hearns-Hagler-Duran-Leonard tourney.... Which fights of recent years do you consider superfights and which alleged superfights- weren't....

    eg-

Calzaghe-Jones..... Not a superfight.... too far past their primes.

Trinidad-De La Hoya...... Was a superfight.... two ATG's in their primes..... bit of a **** fight..

    You get me drift bloods?:good

I was actually embarrassed that this fight was made when it was.

    Anyway...
    Barrera-Morales 1 - Superfight!
De La Hoya-Mayweather - A bit of a let down

Narrowing it down to a recent British angle, Hopkins-Calzaghe was a superfight irrespective of fighters' ages with their universal pound for pound rankings putting them at the high end of the top 10 and and both being Ring champs at 168 and 175 at the time. The Hatton-Pac fight coming up feels much more of a superfight though with the p4p number one against the world's best light welterweight, both at or very near their primes with everyone expecting a good tear up. Really looking forward to that one, but just as much to Froch-Taylor which won't have superfight status but which should be a super fight to watch

If your definition of a super fight is two greats going at it, Lewis vs. Vitali Klitschko certainly was NOT a super fight.

Klitschko was not a great, and still isn't. He hadn't even had his best win at that point, which is over Sam Peter I might add.

    Benn - McClellan wasn't a superfight

And to Jeff how can Lewis - Vitali be a superfight when by your own admission you state Calzaghe and Jones were too far removed from their prime for it to be considered?? That was Lennox's last fight.

    Confusing

Barrera - Morales and Mosley- De La Hoya are good shouts

No need.....that was a point in the fight where Hopkins flurries after the bell and misses with his punches whilst Calzaghe does his usual clowning.

And again, someone who creates an alternative profile with my username should not really call someone a stalker.....

    You thicko....a living contradiction

Shouldn't you be managing security guards or holding a spit bucket for someone??

Most of your input on here is utter drivel and only your boxing background lets you get away with the utter nonsense you blurt out time and time again.

Lewis - Vitali was a superfight and Taylor - Froch is merely a decent "international matchup"

What do you actually know? Seriously????
