ROman Martinez has a fan friendly style... He went to war with Daniel Jimenez and came out victorious.. This is the same Jimenez who gave one of my favorite young contenders VINCENTE ESCOBEDO his first loss.

Both Nicky Cook and Martinez are warriors, throwing bombs full stop.

This will be a war, with someone getting a late TKO, I think.

Martinez never got any recognition as a Puerto Rican prospect but he's really exciting.. A balls to the walls type of fighter... He's no technical genius but does bring excitement and Nicky Cook isn't the one to shy away from an exchange either so this is bound to be a good brawl...

All i know is, this is going to be alot better than Kahn/barrera...

I think Cook will box first and fight second. He prefers to box where possible, so it will be up to Martinez to force him into a war if that is his style. I havn't seen him myself.

Cook boxed very well against Alex Arthur. It was a very controlled and disciplined performance, he used his superior footwork and angles to get the better of the zombie-like Arthur. I suppose he will try to do that again as Plan A.

Roman Martinez is a very effective brawler alomost like a poor mans Jose Luis Castillo.

I have to go with my compatriot Roman...but you're right this fight is going to over shadow the main event.
