Cotto Vs Clottey June 13th: VOTE! (Clottey Confirmed: ITS ON!!)

Cotto's gonna beat the dust off Clottey's ashy ass

 

This brings us back to one of my earlier points. This happens with every fighter. People on this forum write off a fighter's chances of winning in every fight. There are way more people giving Clottey no shot than their are people giving Cotto no shot. There were also a ton of people who gave Margo no shot at beating Cotto. So if some people are underrating Cotto, than a lot of people are underrating Clottey. Every fighter gets underrated by at least one person on this forum. Cotto gets underrated less than just about any other elite fighter on this forum.

 

Does that explain why he is such a busy fighter?

 

I dont see Shane giving Clottey a fight coming off a loss to Cotto. :verysad

 

This is one of the funniest post I've read in a while...I agree Cotto is a good fighter but you're going to be in for a big suprise if you think Cotto will just KO Clottey like the way you've just stated it..I take it you've never seen Clottey fight with this type of post...Clottey isnt going to let Cotto tee off him like Jennings...Clottey has very good defense and is has some pop on his punches to keep Cotto honest....Clottey's chin will hold up to whatever Cotto has to offer...On top of that, he has some good counterpunching skills

What's the point of pointing out this of Clottey? It's the same as me pointing out that Cotto's not immune to the similar treatment albeit not as common as Clottey is. Ultimately your just expressing your opinion and I respect that.

Simple, to help illustrate the point that pretty much every fighter gets written off in every fight. You're claiming that Cotto is underrated and using the fact that some people are giving him no chance against Clottey as proof of this assertion. However, way more people are giving Clottey no shot. What exactly is the point of pointing out that a small minority of people on this forum underrate Cotto?

 

Simple, to point that it exists. Clottey's underrated status has been propagated in these boards, and rightfully so but it shouldn't mean that some of Cotto's unwarrented criticisms should be swept under the rug just because they're less apparent.

 

Eyyy Regz what's good brother? I think us boxing scribes are a lot more consistant than we would normally appear. What I see are the same three catagories of fans expressing their opinions regarding the match up. Look at the names and you will see the same cotto haters supporting josh while the same cotto fans support cotto...others who are on the fence support the fact that its a tough match up for either fighter. Nothings changed bro "same **** different toilet"
