In your previous post you were buying everything that Haye's team was selling about options, etc. Listen, Haye ain't no rockstar & maybe he's popular in England but the numbers don't show that. IF Haye's being offered more than 25% as a voluntary defense he should jump at the chance. IF Haye were a mandatory he'd get about that from arbitration anyway, & like we both know, Haye is not a mandatory.
The offer was a fair one for Haye, and more than either Austin or Thompson got for meeting Wlad. It is clear Haye won't make nearly as much in his next fight. Since fans don't get to examine contracts, your point is mute. The fact that Haye was offered a contract to sign and did hard to ignore. The fact that Haye did not claim the amount out loud also holds some truth here as he knows its more than he's earned as a heavyweight. So the onus is on Haye to sign. He won't. Hmmmm...... duck, duck, duck.
I'm looking forward to the actual facts coming out. I'm not even a Haye fan but the bull**** your spewing as a Wlad nuthugger is aweful..... When the facts do come out, as I hope they will I'll be the first one here pointing out what un uneducated, knee jerk simpleton you are. If however the facts support you and Haye has been offered a perfectly reasonable contract I'll be the first one here appologising. Seriously, why would a guy put so much effort into calling out the heavyweight champ, he's obviously not scared, manouver himself into a position where he gets his opportunity and on recieving a 'fair' contract refuse to sign? This makes absolutley no sense but somehow you've figured it all out.......
Of course he is.Why else would he not be willing to fight the heavyweight champion of the world. The champ makes the rules all big names set their rules and prices.Point blank Wlad is 10x as popular as Haye.Unless you follow boxing very closely you won't even know who he is.
At least James Toney said no thanks to a 1.4 million dollar shot at Wlad, and then took a lesser fight for much less money. Wlad would have beat the tar out of Toney, and even Toney himself knew it. Haye is trying to put up some sort of front on why he did not sign.
:huh He has said throughout this thread that the details are unknown. And that means his mind is made up? Russ, we know you're a HUGE klit jockey...if anyone's mind is made up, it's you dude. :good
I have been around boxing for many years. Haye is his own promoter and his mouth gets as much attention as his fists. Brittan has rabid boxing fans. I wish there were more like them. Haye is their man, and he essential said he wanted to fight Wlad at least 5 times ot the press. Haye was calling Wlad out to get a big pay day, then when the opportunity came, Haye tucked tail and shut his mouth. Understand this, if the contract was not fair, Haye would cry foul and shout out what he was offered. Haye did not do this because if he did Wlad's team will say I'm sorry that ( instert an amount over a million ) was not enough for you. Here's a better question for you. How much do you think Haye should make? Please respond here. Wlad can make over $10 million vs Tony Thompson level fighter in Germany. If Haye balks, someone else will take the pay day he was offered, then Haye runs the risk of getting exposed Audley Harrison style and might never get a chance like this again.
Yep Toney is way too gone too even attempt that one now.As far as Haye he knows after this fight it will be the end of the road so he wants to savor it a little longer. He has a shot but its a very slim one in my eyes.
Wow man. I thought I reasoned through these things well but you just left me in the dust. By my guess Haye's been offered at least 3 million, quite possibly 4 or more.
What I have trouble dealing with is how can contenders have so many demands against champions ? Wlad does have 2 belts to lose, and Haye is guaranteed to be a millionaire with that fight win or lose.... We don't know all the details, but normally someone that is so sure to take someone's head off like Haye has proclaimed to do to Wlad over the last year...would sign the damn contract ASAP and be anxious to get it done in the ring ! My feeling is Haye's team is really trying to make a huge career payday...because they're not as confident with the end result as they openly proclaim !
No, I just think it's obvious that Wlad got his mando out of the way just so this fight could be made, and that guy is making all sorts of excuses for Haye and claiming Haye wanted the fight because he called him out.................just stick to the known facts Lance.............
