Kirkland would beat that ass. Berto would land some bomb but it doesnt matter. I would take Kirkland to beat Pavilks ass though.

Berto has openly talked about going down to 140...Kirkland fights at 154.

This really all that fair? Kirkland in about 9.

Kirkland wins. Too much pressure for a guy like Berto who would be game. I don't think Berto has anything that would hurt Kirkland to be honest but we all know Kirkland would hurt Berto.

Kirkland's chin is a concern to me..he got dropped by a can back in 07 on espn. I was shocked he did not get starched by the love child

    (a) The "can", Allen Conyers, won by KO in all but two of his wins.

    (b) It was a flash knockdown.

    (c) He recovered quickly. He was KDed at the beginning of the round, and not only didn't he get hurt again, but he managed to knock the opponent out later in the round.

    (d) He took plenty of flush shots from Brian Vera, Joel Julio and Mohamed Said, all of whom are punchers.

At this point, it's a stretch to say Kirkland's chin is worse than average. It's not great, but if he had a weak chin, fighting his opposition with his style he would have been hurt more than once in his career.

Anyway, Kirkland would be a HORRIBLE matchup for Berto. Berto probably could outbox him, but he has a little too much Shane Mosley in him and likes to mix it up when he shouldn't, and Berto's chin isn't fantastic either. Eventually Kirkland would wear Berto down and knock him out.

I still think Kirkland loses to Santos, Dzinziruk, Williams, etc.

Bad matchup for Berto who I don't believe would respond well to Kirkland's non stop pressure.
