Wlad new opponent

The average boxing fan in North America doesn't know who Dimetriko is!!

 

Haye is more talented, much faster and much more explosive than Dimitrenko. Dimitrenko will be able to pick up a few rounds on account of Wlad being slow out of the gate (and the fact that Dimitrenko is a good fighter) but after round 4, it will not be pretty for Dimitrenko fans.

The fight will be intriguing...but to dispute people who want to see Haye vs Wlad as "ignorant" is a miscast.

Pepper won't give credit where it's due (Povetkin), Punisher lists just-out-of-jail-coming-off-a-loss-43-year-old McCall as preferable to Dimitrenko and Ruskull somehow thinks Dimitrenko would be a preferable matchup to Haye?? What a ****ed up thread. None of you can get past your biases.

The funny part is the whole thread started about an article that was just a worthless opinion piece anyway.

- Haye: most entertaining option, best top level experience, good combo of speed and power; could be a very tough style matchup. Wlad's never fought anyone like him. Intriguing matchup.
- Povetkin: best of the non-retreads. A better fight in a couple of years but beats the **** out of another Thompson/Austin mess
- Dimitrenko: 2nd best of the non-retreads, thin resume but at least a legit top-10. At least he'd be in shape and, hopefully, not on 'roids.

My bias: I'm sick of old men I've seen before recycled for title shots based on nothing but name recognition.
