I had about 1000 XXXX but I thought ZAP won every round......he was very good.....Gairy started to fight last 2 or 3 rounds :huh....his first 8 or 9 was spent taking big shots. ZAP has one of the best 3 punch combos in boxing.....double left rip to the side then left hook upstairs.....very fast....very powerful......sweet Dib went well.....better than his last fights.....ZAP would beat him and cool Willie I think.
Yes totally dominant as was Dib.Dont know how that was a SD.Good to see Shane Mosley commentate nice guy Shane he got pinged for steroids.Silly as he didnt need them. Danny Green since his doco really pisses me off he voice and fake smile makes me fell like someones attached a 5kg weight to my sack with bulldog clips.Whinning like a little slut about being weight drained and having to lose 3kg of muscle mass when the truth is he could not beat the weakest SMW champ and was embaressed by Mundine and now he sees no problem with Mundine jumping 2 divisions to fight him :-(. A good card over all. Zappa was the standout IMO
i agree about green, i changed the channel when he come on and when i realised he'd be commentating i had to put it on mute
Was impressed with Zappa last night. He is coming along quite nicely, I'm interested to see how far he can go in the next few years.
Just listen to how many times Danny Green refers to himself when he commentates. No matter how random the topic, it always comes back to being about him. Bloody crackup.
What about when Green had to ask what the penultimate rd was atsch Maybe that's what confused him in the 2nd Beyer fight
I watched Briggs for most of the time while Green was talking (because it was totally uninteresting) and you could just sense the unease and almost contempt Briggs had for the guy.. Dont get me wrong, I like Green (more so pre-retirement) but the guy sounds like Rudd when he speaks - everything sounds scripted and everythig has been said time and time and time again...!
And I should also mention how good the card was overall. The Dib fight was good, the Wilson and Humauno fight was pretty honest but enjoyable and the Zap fight was great (love how he rips to the body). The show just seemed very proffesional and a good image for Australian boxing.
Same since the doco i do not like Green. He just comes across not so good. So was Green and Briggs both commentating together.
I don't know, they well could be, but Briggs must be thinking - I fought for real titles against a live champ (getting paid considerably less in much more entertaining fights) and convincingly beat the guy you beat for a title, and now you're getting another shot at Mundine while you've never offered me the fight nor has Mundine for that matter. Basically talent/performance < hype. Ofcourse, only my opinion, that's just the way I felt as they were talking alongside each other. Perhaps I'm just getting a little too worked up on behalf of Briggsy!
