John by decision 45% Gamboa by KO 35% John by stoppage 10%, Gamboa by decision 10% at this point, the way Gamboa currently fights.

But let's just wait and see Yuri's next couple of fights before putting himself in vs. the man who either beat Juan Manuel Marquez, or had a very close fight vs. him and was avarded the decision. Either way, he's an excellent fighter and the World FW Champion.

John by decision. He is too experienced and too intelligent for Gamboa. And don't forget he fell ill days befor his fight with Juarez, yet was able to outpoint him somehow (let alone judges' scorecards).

I heard that John moved up, and I also herd that John got moved to Super Champ though every site has John as the Reg champ.

Right now it would have to be Chris John based off the better resume. John is one hell of a boxer. Gamboa has the potential to get there but isn't yet.

The fights with Marquez and Juarez are far beyond anything Gamboa has even sniffed as a pro. I'd go with John to outbox him at this stage.

I just re-checked Boxrec and it was a typo, the fight is actually for the Interim WBA Featherweight title.

John would outbox him quite easily.

John by KO. Gamboa has a Glass Jaw and is a brutal KO waiting to happen.

I know gamboa is a great boxer and is really exciting to watch, but seriously..... gamboa wasnt even a pro when john fought marquez :patsch while I admit gamboa has tremendous physical abilities, its not like john dosent, john is still in his prime. Has WAY more skills than gamboa. This would be a boxing clinic by john who according to box rec has almost as many TITLE FIGHTS as gamboa has pro fights........

I think Gamboa would beat him up, or at least wear him down.

John has a very textbook style. I see all sorts of confusion for him when he's facing somebody that is going to show him movement and angles and not let him settle into fighting at his own pace. I think John is the sort of guy that is going to look good against counterpunchers and outboxers, but I'd like to see some real pressure on him. Juarez took too long to get going.

You call them bums and I'll call them decent Veterans. His opposition currently was better than Mayweather's when they both started.

He's being moved up rather quickly and for the pace he's going, he's smoking and blowing everyone outta the water.

And look at Calzaghe. The man has constantly been dropped, but never hurt. And the man is undefeated. Gamboa is much better than Calzaghe. His only real problem is that he get's too careless. But I assure you he won't when facing John.

John is too slow and not strong enough to get the respect of Gamboa. He will be on him and outta there before John can do ****. And sure John has a pretty good beard against Juarez, but Gamboa and ROcky are two different fighters

Look at Gamboa's record. He typically finishes people off within 1 or 2 rounds. Marcos Ramirez was 25-0 and has never been down in his career before facing Gamboa. A guy like that shouldn't be hitting canvas against someone who's barely 11-0 and ****.

The guy who made it past a round 4 KO was Gonzalez...and his ass was more shelled up than Josh CLottey.

It'll either be Gamboa by late TKO or Gamboa by UD. John can't handle quick precise swarmers like Gamboa.
