Lennox Lewis for me vs Holyfield 1 it was the first of many ppv's i ordered from there on ward i took a big intrest in boxing ( as i hate football ) and started following all the other wieghts classes and today i have over 200 hundred tapes that ive recorded over the years .
Tyson! When I was still young Tyson made me cry in Punch out. He's freaking hard to beat, and everytime I lost I have to redo all over again!
Frazier when I was pre-teen got me started. Crushed when he lost to Foreman. Listened to Ali v Frazier round by round on the radio in the living room on the news station. But the guy who really got me hooked was Little Red Lopez in the late 70's. They used to have so many great fights on network tv back then. Wish they'd bring back that format
I was always aware of boxing from a very, very early age as my Dad was a big fan who went to fights and to the cinema to watch the big fights live from America in the Pre-Satalite TV days... However it was the first Benn vs Eubank fight that got me hooked. I lost interest somewhere around the late 90's and only watched a few fights over the next 5 years. (I was distracted by other things...) However my return to boxing was sparked off by the Acelino Freitas vs Jorge Barrios fight which was shown delayed on the SKY TV broadcast of the Holyfield vs Toney fight. I sat there transfixed and I realised then and there that I wouldn't be going to watch football for much longer...I haven't been to see a professional game of football for around 4 years and any level for nearly a year but I watch EVERY fight shown on our screens...!
