Yes, AA has been carefully protected. Go ahead and make me 3 lists. List all the guys over 6 foot arthur has fought, list all the guys with high KO ratios AA has fought, and then list all the highly accomplished opponents he has faced. I can wait Finn, cuz those are going to be very short lists.

It feels like Pavlik just lost to Hopkins a couple of months ago so i have no problem with him trying to get some air under his wings before stepping up in class again.

Its not an interesting fight but i can't blame Pavlik for taking it.

Mora isn't exactly the best available opponent for Pavlik.

Pavlik-AA is the fight everyone wants.

If Pavlik keeps fighting the Rubios and Moras and not AA then he will lose fans and credibility.

It is still too early to say Pavlik is looking to milk his title but he is moving dangerously close to doing so.

...by Arum. SE confirmed several times afterwards to Setanta and ESPN that they never ask for that much money...it's all Arum's ploy.
Btw, you sound like Arum:"If they can't make it on their own, it's their fault. Supporting a guy for the downfall of mine - no way."...

...so let's hope P-Will beats Winky and then get it on with AA...

If Winky has anything left, he'll beat Williams. Arum will push a Pavlik/Wright match-up ahead of Abraham, and rightly so. Pavlik/Winky has been brewing for years, and any version of Winky that can beat Williams would get past Arthur without much trouble. Winky/Abraham is not a particularly appealing fight, but Winky would win a 12 round snooze fest.

If Paul wins, in my opinion, he'll have to get in line. There is nothing urgent about Pavlik taking that fight. If AA fought Paul, and beat him, especially by KO, that would most certainly take away ALL of Arum's excuses.

So why don't they match Kelly with a real Middleweight? There not names but they'll offer a way better challenge than Mora.

20 of Mora's 23 fights were fought at 160. He also fought in the 2000 Olympic trials in the same division as Pavlik and Taylor!

He'll get crap for fighting anyone other than Abraham. Even if he fights Sturm there will be people bitching.

Then they insist Kelly has to move up to SMW to find decent opponents? Well, since AA is moving up, why not just let the fight happen there anyhow?

All the folks bragging on this site that they watch fights free over internet feeds bitching about the money available for match ups.... :patsch

Not to mention the idiots claiming fighters don't belong in a weight class cuz they cut to a lower weight at some point.

Welp that's part of the problem. Give people a fight to pay money for and they will. Give them something below standard and they'll stream it.

    How is that fight defensible?

I'm sure even Kelly is shaking his head over fighting Mora.

And Mora is without question a MW. He only went down to 154 with the allure of a title shot against Forrest.

    I don't believe this "He's not a middleweight" bull****.

Since October 2005 Kelly has fought Zuniga, McKart, Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor at 160, Taylor at 166, and Hopkins at 170, and chased hard after a fight with Calzaghe. In his entire career only two middleweights lasted more than 8 rounds with KP, and they both quit on their respective stools after nine rounds.

On the other hand, Miranda almost tore Arthur's face off, and got screwed out of a legit TKO. AA ducked Zuniga, and, the same version of Eastman that Miranda sparked in 7, fought 12 rounds with AA.

I'm sure Top Rank and Team Pavlik are terrified:patsch
