And Ayala beat Mora beforehand in most people's eyes who watched the fight... Btw pipe, Arum says Abraham is too expensive for an under card to Pavlik but camp AA has made it clear to public that they would take a shortcut if it means to fight Pavlik next...believe me, Arum wants nothing to do with this fight b/c he can't make enough out of it for all the risk... Arum says that Abraham's profile needs to be raised in the US but in the same sentence refuses to support Sauerland to do so...think about it...team Pavlik wants it, team AA wants it - just greedy, HBO and SHO (with a proper build-up) want it - just greedy, old Arum doesn't want it anytime soon...
I listened to the first few, and really honestly enjoyed them. (see if I can raise a fire here?:hey), but after reading that Amsterdam was let loose going off on Pavlik, with whom I'd fought many a battle with over the fact that Pavlik and J. Taylor are not infact "GARBAGE", I just didn't think my nerves needed that. Will tune back in though, as I say, the ones I caught were quality listening, and kudos to you guys and best of luck with that show.

I realise I took liberty of a bit of a cheap shot at AA in that early post, you sir, know that's not my style....BUT MORA!!!...I had to take desperate measures and will refrain from downgrading the best possible opponent for Pavlik in the future. BTW, Tom, that article you put up of AA makes it easy to see why you guys stand behind that cat. That was quality.
I've been wantin' to "fight" with him since I got back. :rofl My speculation: He I'll bet you took a big long ban-bet with somebody over the Mijares vs. Vic fight. You know he was the high priest on the Mijares Cult, and guarantee you he took a bow out when Mijares got owned by the very type of fighter Amsterdam loves to downgrade and bomb away on.

It's pointless to wait for KP-AA when making 160 is close to impossible for Arthur, and Arum totally lost it. Like Tom said, they shout build-up and no build-up in the same sentence. Makes no sense. And Pavlik's status is getting hurt too. Off regular TV since the first Taylor win, only appearing on free HBO vs. Lockett, a rating disaster will quickly make the public forget Kelly's name. Kelly Pavlik is no PPV star. He never was built up as one. Hopkins PPV, Rubio PPV, Mora PPV - Kelly Pavlik fights for the rich elite and ripped-off loyal fans?

I got a bad feeling, as Bob was in the house at Y-Town, to see the turn out for Kelly....and only for Kelly, cause as we all know the real undercard of any note was in the MSG half of the show. You should have seen some of the cans that were in the opening bouts. He learned, I'm afraid, keep Kelly in Ohio and it doesn't matter who he fights. Hope I'm wrong, but you saw that place on TV, you should have seen it live. Those people in there didn't know **** for Boxing, except Hermit from his seat. If I could describe to you the "conversations" I heard around me...LOL...well let's just say, it's safe to say, the casuals really don't follow like we do, that's for damned sure.
To be fair though, Bone, what fighter doesn't these days....except maybe "club" level guys. They all want the monster check, that means the cheap seats are $500.00 and up to $5,000 to get close to the ring, in MOST all big time fights. This is what is killing attendance in boxing all over the place. Unless it's Ricky (and you know those arent' the "poor" Ricky fans, or Joe C. vs. Kessler, people just arent' going to pay that kind of $$ when can either watch "free" on TV or Net, or just $45.00 for the whole family at home.
