I saw some of Gomez recently, and he might be the 3rd best heavyweight in the world right now. He can box, move, counter, and is pretty quick. His power was solid enough to put Virchis down. I don't think Gomez will lose easy. Vitali is going to have to work in this fight. Look for Vitali to box, or brawl when he needs to.
The guy was undefeated as Cruiserweight, I think he was 30 something and 0 before moving up. Though if you watched his fight against Sam Peter knockout victim Yanqi Diaz, his chin looked very weak to me. I understand that was a good many years ago, but if his chin looks anything like that againt Vitali, look for 3rd round knockout. I hope Gomez looks to counter against Wlad, esspecially on the inside, he just has to be wary of getting hit with a vicious uppercut, which could spell the begining of the end for Gomez. I am however looking forward to this fight and cant wait to see it.

Exactly. The best thing we can do is watch the fights so their ratings will show a decent numbers for the matches. It wouldn't hurt to write an e-mail or two though.................
i think this'll be a competetive fight, atleast for the first 6 rounds or so, depending on gomez's stamina..i really won't be surprised if gomez wins this by decision

Good move for ESPN. It seems that HBO is losing it. They could not get Vitali v Peter, now they are losing Vitali v Gomez. I wonder if they spent all the budget on DLH promoted cards.
Vitali looked very relaxed against Peter. Our TV commentator (former european champion in amateurs) said Vitali was playing with Peter like a cat with a mouse.
Gomez might trouble Vitali with movement and speed for the first 6 - 8 rounds. Then, Vitali will take over and win a late stoppage or unanimous decision. Poeple forget that Gomez is 35 years and not in his prime anymore. in addition Gomez had his trouble in both fights with McCAll.
You could be right, but Vitali Klitschko is not really a one-punch power kind of guy. Usually he wears his opponents down with a lot of heavy-handed shots. I think Gomez will at least see the middle/late rounds, and i also think he has a decent shot at an upset.
