Pavlik did not WANT to fight Williams, but at the time they were getting desperate for a fall '08 opponent, so KP said he WOULD fight him. Kelly had even started training for Williams when the fight got called off because Goosen's bull****. This is all well documented, and ancient, historical fact. Try to keep up.

 

Pavlik never wanted to fight Williams. Do you realize that Lampley comments about it was way after Arum bullsh4t lies about so called Williams price himself out right? Lampley who is the biggest Pavlik nuthugger could have said Williams or Goosen price themself out but didn't. So instead Lampley said Pavlik was the one that didn't want the fight cause HE BELIEVE HE WILL GET BASHED ON BY BEATING A WELTERWEIGHT. Please try to keep it up ok Booradley?

 

From my recollect, Pavlik certainly didn't want to fight Williams for the reason listed above. However when it became certain John Duddy wouldn't be ready (and HBO wouldn't accept Marco Antonio Rubio), They (Team Pavlik) entertained the possibility of fighting Williams.

Hopkins stepped in at the last minute (for a substantially higher price than expected) and the rest as they say....

 

Exactly, or at least pretty close, but the Williams fight was already off when BHop stepped in, and it was called off over Goosen's bull****.

 

You're only telling half the story. People from INSIDE Team Pavlik post on this board. I think they might know a bit more than Jim Lampley who probably has brain damage from years of breathing Merchant's breath! Those insiders made it clear that Pavlik was in training to fight Paul Williams.

 

Is that you can come up with is "insiders"? Lol come on boor you could do better then that. Lampley knows more about that story cause he gets the sources and knows what's going on. I don't like lampley but he won't bullsh4it with stuff like that. So far Pavlik actions as of late with facing Rubio and Now Mora tells me clearly that i bet he was the one that didn't want to fight Williams. Williams right now is going to face a man that Pavlik refuse to fight in Wright.

I know for a fact that Paul was trying his ass off to get that fight. Pavlik told him no one would take him seriously beating up on him, and they never had any intentions on fighting until he bacme a more credible draw.

And when the other fight fell through, they were just doing some meaningless yapping until Bernard stepped up. Paul never overpriced himself. That's some bull**** myth. He was gonna take some real chimp change for that fight, and I don't usually say anything when Pavlik fans talk about it, but you comin with these "insiders" who don't even know what the **** they talkin about...

They will get their chance. And it won't be what they are expecting.

Built up a record by feasting on opponents with losing records.
Got lucky with Quintana the last time.
Now he is fighting Winky Wright.
Wright should win every round.

 

Winky will beat him......

 

If Wright has anything left he should beat Williams. Williams it taking that fight because Winky is old and has not fought for a billion years.
