Wright is over-the-hill, that's why Williams is fighting him. However, what if Winky beat him?

Because theyre putting williams in a platform where all bigger name fighters are avoiding him while the likes of quintana who beat him once cant get a third fight.

Again, what does Quintana at this point in time bring to the table legacy or finacially speaking? With fighters like Cotto and Mosley out there, what sense would it make for Paul to pursue a third fight with a guy he knocked out in one round?

Has Quintana actively even pursued this fight?

Paul has much bigger fish to fry right now

What did Williams bring to the table after losing to a glass jawed fighter like Quintana?

Nope actually, its fine not to give quintana the third fight ill understand:good. just drop the most avoided and most feared man in boxing. It really is insulting to the fairminded boxing fans.:think

Agreed. On top of that, he's almost entirely a product of prerehearsed combinations and foot placement, and other assorted generic manuevers. As a fighter he does absolutely nothing creative, interesting, or memorable. The actual truth of it is that Paul Williams is not much of a fighter. Period.

He's got a good workrate, fluid combinations, good handspeed, some durability - but all in all there isn't anything exceptional about this kid but his awesome size and reach for the opposition and weight classes his people have had him in there exploiting. It will all be very clear at some point, most definately.

Hopefully Paul can make some good coin and add a few more houses and apartment buildings to his real estate empire back home before his card gets pulled, again. I certainly appreciate his ambitiousness.

Interesting take, considering Quintana seemed to pick up right exactly where he left off from the first fight within seconds of the opening bell of the rematch. Quintana helped Williams considerably in getting himself "ktfo'd" after he decided to get a little too confident on the heels of catching Williams extremely flush several times. Good thing for Williams... Also good for Williams that Quintana is a moderately durable Welterweight at best, and one of the worst in all boxing at defending himself after he gets hurt...

I say this, literally, as someone who got extremely ****ing sick and tired of hearing everyone say "Quintana has his number," "Quintana has his number" :rant after the first fight - I had Williams in the rematch, but when Quintana started beating Williams' head like a drum and espousing that "you're my *****" confidence I knew I was horribly wrong. Instantly. It felt like mercy when Williams took him out.

I can't recall too many fans picking Williams in the rematch. VERY FEW. You're talking about a fighter who dominated - made a ****ing fool of the other guy, for about 30 of the 38 or so minutes that they fought, and the guy who got dominated is the "better fighter??" Good one. First the bandwagon with no brakes was the 'Quintana Express,' now Paul is Jesus off a blatant tactical error followed by more blatant tactical errors. Funny ****.

Williams don't owe Quintana anything. Williams didn't have to fight Quintana in the first fight but he did. Williams gave Quintana a chance first. Quintana return the favor.

Are you just being a wise ass? Exchange "not afraid" for "not ducking". Did you really not know it meant the same thing"?

Address what I was talking about. Williams and Quintana have allready fought twice. The guys that Williams has called out are not fighting him. for the first time. Williams is a big name and a champion. If you cannot see a big difference in why ducking would have would have 2 different meanings here, explain why.
