I hope he sues the **** out of them.

I suspect there is nothing they can come up with to justif a year suspension. If they had something, they would have shown what it was, as opposed to letting the imagination of people run wild.

Margo should protest this ban. Seriously guys, you all know I ain't no Margo fan by any stretch of the imagination, but fair is fair. They should announce what they found or rescind the ban.

None of this, however, excuses the brutal humiliating fashion in which he got his ass beat to ****in sleep that night by a 37-year-old "washed up" tune-up fighter.

Don't know dude. It could be the other way round. They know full well what the substance was. They can't just ban someone for nothing, common sence tells you there'd be hell to pay. Hell as far fetched as it seems they could have met with Margo's people and went something like this:

'If we let the public know fully what happened you'd get a life ban and we'd look like incompetent fools. So how bout this for an agreement, we'll suspend you for 1 year on the basis that no-one releases the details.'

Stupid I know but no-more stupid than assuming they can just suspend someone for no reason.

You got a reply ??? What did you ask ???

I want to see this in print . . . on any website . . . if it doesn't come out within a week or until the middle of march . . . this is a total crap.

The California State Athletic Commision will have to release their findings or a statement and justify the suspension . . . otherwise they'll be courting a lawsuit. :deal

You scenario isn't completely stupid, as it allows Margo to save face, and it allows the commission to save face as well.

I just don't think he would have loaded his fists with plaster, although I can envision him actually try to pad his fists to protect them, which isn't nearly as bad.

They did'nt strike a deal like you suggest....

The CSAC said in their past hearing to announce the suspension, that the confiscated gauze was on a waiting list to be examined.....
....in this day in age of media hungry vultures searching for a story......you can bet on it that what was in those wraps is going to come out public.....

It is tax payer dollars that paid for that confiscated gauze to be tested.....you better bet that there will be hoards of journalist demanding that they come out with the results......

Hope to god they do. I can picture ESB boards still bringing this up 5-10 years from now, further down the line in the classics section!!

No, sounds like he is saying that they might have jumped the gun when they accused him of plaster, so now they are covering there tracks since they will look bad. That is what he is saying, do I agree with it or not, don't know.

If they wanted to hide the results, the CSAC would have never said that the wraps were waiting to be tested in the month of march.

The thread starter being Puerto Rican and a Cotto fan just wants to stir things up....but I highly doubt that the commision has closed the case on the matter as he suggests.

lol...there are handwrapping rules, there are rules of what you place into the wraps. If there was sperm found in the wraps its still illegal because it shouldnt be there in the first place.

That's everyones question. And no one will EVER know except Margarito and his trainer. I'd imagine they aren't gonna come out and say, "Oh, by the way, we have been using this since the Jan 2000."

people we already know what the foreign substance is. We saw the photos.

Its old, used gauze, that was hidden under the fresh gauze of his knucklepads.

my question is... does that foreign substance make enough of an impact to alter the outcome of a fight?
