I plan on boycotting all PPV overpriced fights in protest. Fans are getting robbed.

Good post Hermit, and quite factual. You almost made me regret making this thread. However, we are talking about a voluntary defense, ON PPV, against Sergio Mora; a guy whose best wins at 160 are Peter Manfredo and Jesse Brinkley:patsch

At the moment I consider myself a Kelley Pavlik fan, but if this fight is actually signed and finalized, I am definitely off the bandwagon. Truly a pointless and embarrassing fight for him AND all his fans if it comes off.

    Shitty 'fight'.

    Pavlik should look at:
    AA
    Kessler
    Green
    Direll
    Ward
    Mundine
    Andrade
    Inkin
    Balzay
    Larsen
    Froch
    Bute

All from 160/168 and all a good deal better than Mora.

“He’s a pretty slick fighter,” Pavlik said. “Nothing overwhelming. He’s probably the same as Rubio, although Rubio has a lot more power, a lot more bang in his punch.”

Shitty list. Throw out the guys at 168 unless they want to come to 160. Not to mention some of them are belt holders. I only recognize two of these guys as middle? And Mundine has one unimpressive win at MW. :patsch

Because it was you of all people who suggested it, I will say YES.:good

    :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

P.S. keep your nerve. This is a great thread from Pavlik fans, who truly want him to be great. pipe wrenched and yourself are to be commended greatly! :deal

True Calzaghe fans took this kind of attitude towards him when he was in two minds about facing Kessler too! :deal

No. It's not one fight. It will be Duddy after Mora and then some mandatory again and so on and so forth...and it's all just a way to buy time so that Abraham finally has enough of struggling to make weight and get big fights, and goes up...:deal

Found this in another thread. It is a very valid point. Not like Pavlik is fighting a former light champ moving up. This guy drained to get that title. We can debate whether Mora overachieved or Forrest underachieved in the first fight, fact is, he did get the win.

And like I said and you chose to leave out. AA's weight is his issue. If he wants to be a middle weight, that is up to him. Pavlik's career choices shouldn't be dictated by AA's inability to make MW. Indeed if AA has that much trouble is it fair to say he has a size advantage if this fight happens? AA is a SMW draining to make MW? Since the day Kelly took the title this board has been full of people, like YOU, saying he should be fighting SMW before he even had his first title defense. Remember your front page Bute article where you said it was up to Kelly to "step up" to Bute. Rubbish. Plain and simple.

I never said Pavlik should be fighting at SMW!:deal
PAVLIK said he was looking to move up to SMW, hence my article!

After he got beaten by Hopkins, him and his team went back to the stay-at-MW-for-as-long-as-possible-plan. :deal

...you keep beating that old horse about my article...but you fail to notice it is long dead...and that it ain't a horse at all. :hi:

I guess now that you've got a Pavlik picture signed just for you, he'll never ever do wrong ever, right? :-(

Pavlik is avoiding AA. As a fan of both, I have no trouble admitting it. I am disappointed, though.

Disowning your own article is about the best I can expect from you I guess. Yeah. Your article was a dead horse when you wrote it. You fail to own up to it.

You never said Pavlik should fight at SMW? Bute was coming down to MW then? Give me a ****ing break. You didn't even read that piece of ****ing trash when you wrote it, did you? Not my fault it is still there and can be pulled up in searches to prove your sorry ass wrong.

And you are plain wrong about WHEN Kelly adopted the stay at middle. After winning the title he was motivated to keep it. He started phasing out the once per press conference caveat about weight well before the Hopkins fight.
