Rahman got more in the end because IBF turned Rahman into a Mandatory... Haye is a voluntary and Haye needs to remember that! At some point, Wlad can just walk away... Haye needs to be careful. I know he wants a good contract, but at some point if he goes to far.. it will be over and that would be a shame

Well, I don't want to discuss with you and expect no answer from you. Neither do I want to pick an argument with you as it has become clear that you do not have the boxingknowledge to argue with me.

The purpose of my post shall solely clarify that you post a lot of NONSENSE and act in an arrogant way.

    I agree.

Haye is not in position to make big demands during negotioations.
He is not 1) mandatory 2) has not proven anything at heavyweight
    3) has not an exceptional record (only old Mormeck)

If some people refuse to admit this, is because they are Haye fans.

If Hayes doesnt take this fight... It will be a year or 2 before he will get another chance at Wlad. Haye will have to work his way to "Mandatory" status. and I just dont think he can get through the guys to get there... or he will start screaming and calling out Valuev or Chagaev as the "best guy to beat":yep

Imagine this.. Haye says no.... fights another bum... then finally gets in the ring with a "top 10" and get KO'd.:yep Poetic justice :good

High risk for David Haye not to sign the fight.

Rahman was litteraly begging Haye to fight him. Haye fought a bum. And besides, you are a Haye fan and therefore not credible to discuss this issue.

Indeed, it is back in line for Haye if he does not sign it. he also will lose credibility because he talked too much in the past.

There is still a little hope though he will sign it. Wlad - Haye would be good for the division.

Guess what, people would say the same if Haye fought Rahman, they'd have said he was a bum just like people did when Wladimir fought him.Besides,Haye was never in a position to fight anybody at HW so he can't be accused of ducking.Whoever agrees with the title of this thread is wrong also-if Haye didn't want to fight Wlad,do you think he might have kept his mouth shut and even stayed at cruiser??If you're ducking somebody, you don't go about it by running your mouth off(Riddick Bowe is an exception)
Who has a lack of credibility here? You said Haye ducked Rahman and Toney.Like I said,Haye was never in a position to fight any HW out there. This takes ducking out of the equation.People obviously don't understand what the term means.
After the Maccarinelli fight,Jonny Nelson mentioned he'd come out of retirement to fight Haye.Does that mean Haye ducked him?By your logic, yes it does because according to you,Haye ducked Rahman because Rahman wanted the fight:nut:patsch

This I certainly agree with. After Hayes recent actions/comments he'd look a fool if he didn't sign.

Dude we're pissing into the wind with this one. Here's the official line from the Independant which we already knew was the case anyway:

Late last year Haye entered into negotiations with former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, who once knocked out Lennox Lewis, but that fight was put on hold when the money and incentive increased for a showdown with Maccarinelli.

    And here's the link:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...end-sets-haye-on-a-road-to-riches-793619.html

    What will the response be?

    A) That article is complete bull****
    B) That article means nothing
    C) Stop twisting my words Haye nuthugger (despite the fact I've repeatedly said here and in other posts I'm not a Haye fan)

    Place bets now.

Everyone who is objective agrees that Rahman would have been a more credible opponent than Haye. IMO Haye just wanted an easy opponent for his first fight. Everybody here was disappointed when he elected to fight Barett. Haye and Rahman were actually negotioating.

Haye has brought a lot of confusion and no added value to the division so far. I think he is a skilled boxer with some charisma unlike those Russians. I hope that the Waldo fight still happens but I am very disappointed with Haye's actions so far as a heavyweight.
