Well then you're one of the few teenagers thats never broken a traffic rule. If you had won silver, beating the reigning Euro champ, Asian champ and losing only to one of the best amateurs ever at 17 being the only kid to represent your country, it will get to most kids.

I did my fair share of skirting around the rules when I was younger but he has handlers and they should have been keeping tabs on him and looking after his public image.

Anyway, it's in the past now. Khan's clean slate started in his last fight and continues tomorrow against his first decent opponent...

The Prescott loss was a reality check for him and his handlers. I think he needed that. He seems to have the right attitude in coming back and working for it.

they were tough, proven world champions in the pro ranks. nobody was going to raise an eyebrow when they spouted off because they earnt the right to do so. khan at this point is nothing but a glass jawed, unproven fringe contender who has been handed everything on a plate. his fame and fortune is completely and utterly undeserved.

Id say Breidis Prescott was his first decent opponent! doesnt he have like a 80 or 90% KO ratio?

So the kid goes after what he's worth, gets it and people hate him for this? And come on, he hasn't been handed everything on a plate. That makes it sound like he's never had to work for it. I just don't get it. As a comparrison people don't hate Wayne Rooney, another guy who had 'everything handed to him' at a young age.

Well maybe, im not saying hes gonna be great, good, or a flop - but to start calling him defail after 1 fight is a bit harsh.

Definately. As I mentioned before when I watch Khan fight now I want to see improvements. I want to see that he has learned from being blown away by a then unknown Columbian banger. I want to see why he thinks two fights along he is capable of sharing the ring with a legend having previously fought a parade of bums and featherweights. And whilst I also want Khan to hold his own in an entertaining fight I do want Barerra to win but for the right reasons.

Everyone deserves another chance. Now if only someone would give Bredis Prescott his moment in the spotlight rather then burying him as an afterthought...Mr Warren?

Bloody hell some of you pricks need to get of his case, he's only 22 for ****s sake.

Khan is going to shock alot of people in this fight and destroy what is left of MAB.

:lol:Just something I picked up on the Brit forum.

I'll wait and see how he goes; I haven't given up hope on the lad. But did you see that pro-debut? I haven't seen sloppy punch technique like that in a long time (from a supposed prospect that is). He's DeFail for now; if he comes roaring back in his next few performances I'll give him the real surname back.

He needs to get back in the gym and iron out some of those amateur wrinkles.

Rooney became a laughing stock after his penchant for 'mature' (to put it mildly) prostitutes came to light. It's hard to hate someone when you are laughing at them.

Khan's definitely exciting to watch. Now if only he had a touch of David Haye's honesty when talking about his punch resistance...
