In 2005 Kelly's best win was Fulgencio Zuniga. The Z man went on to win the IBO title at 168, and is fighting Bute tonight.

In 2006 KP's best win was McKart. Bronco went on to win the NABF title at 160 after Kelly vacated, and fought a draw with Marquez right before Marquez won an IBF title eliminator.

In 2007 Kelly beat Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor. Next month JT will beat Froch for the WBC strap at 168.

In 2008 Kelly beat Taylor at 166, and went 12 rounds with BHop. The one positve thing you can say about KP in the BHop fight is that he NEVER stopped trying. Right up to the final bell he kept trying to get something going.

The simple fact of the matter is that Sergio Mora does not belong in the same ring with Kelly Pavlik. THAT is what's wrong with this fight.

You flat out made the claim Arum didn't shop this fight to HBO. Care to back up your statement with any credible proof? I don't think I have to wait on that one do I?

Promoters go to networks when they are serious about making fights. Arum has yet to show he's serious about making this fight.

common sense. You should look into it, you don't really have any on this subject. Keep blaming HBO for Pavlik's soft touch opponents.

I asked you to prove your statement that Arum, a guy who "common sense" would tell you is in touch with HBO on a regular basis NEVER presented this fight to HBO. You haven't because you can't. End of. :deal

Arum is very media savvy. He always lets the media know if the networks are holding up a fight over money. He hasn't said jack **** about HBO and this particular fight. That's because he's barely talked to Sauerland.

Arum's on his way into turning KP into the American version of Chavez Jr. I wouldn't be surprised at all if his final fight of 2009 is again a Top Rank PPV against someone like Duddy.

Your proof is what you didn't hear him say? :rofl Sauerland contradicts your statement on "barely". Have a nice life. You're not even fun to toy with if you can't do any better than that.

Well, I don't like Mora, so I'd quite like to see him get a pounding from Pavlik.

That's not true. Before Kelly lost to Bernard, Pavlik/Abraham was pretty much set for an HBO PPV near the end of January '09.

the problem lies in the simple fact of who's Mora ?

I haven't ever heard that Pavlik/Abraham was "almost set." It's a PPV fight all the way, so HBO doesn't have to stress it as much. That, in fact, is why HBO has given in to the temptation of PPVs in the first place.

The network has become gunshy because of non-PPV bouts such as Calzaghe/Kessler, which was a total bust.

My issue isn't so much that Pavlik hasn't fought Abraham yet, but that he has fought three poor defenses in a row at 160. Mandatories are what they are, but I'd rather he go back to 168 if Mora is the best he can do at 160. It's a meaningless fight in a recent string of them for KP.
