Forgive me for being a huge fan... but recently there was a website with an interview with paul williams & you had to be a paying member to access the full article but the head line was something like "paul williams & his plans to get joe calzaghe out of retirement".... so i never got a chance to read the whole article but i can imagine what it said since paul williams does want to take on everyone it seems like so how would you guys seeing a fight like this panning out? assuming paul williams can transition comfortably to 160+ ?
Calslappy would make up all the excuses in the world to not fight Paul. "He's too green, too black, too tall, too ugly" "I already beat two ATG in the states. I've accomplished everything there is to accomplish in this sport" "oh and by the way, boxing is dying so what's the point?"
nah i mean i aint too mad at calzaghe for retiring... he is old as **** + who ever he beats there will be an excuse... and i guess if hes trying to do the money thing theres nobody who can really get him a big money fight like that
i dunno ... theres so much you would have to take into account that we arent able to yet pauls power around 160 pauls chin @ 160 i think if paul can take & give damage @ 160... his activity might be able to offset calzaghe's activity... plus pauls length would make it interested as it does all his fights... i wish someone was a member of the site im talking about so i could see teh whole article

I'd go so far as to say that Williams oughtn't even be favored over mini-Calzaghe (SGM) at 154. :good A style like that is going to neutralize his activity and length.
no body pays for talk boxing. i know what your talking about. i take joe over 12 rounds PW seems to have a pretty good chin and joes hands are smashed to ****. i truly think the only money fight that could get joe out of retirement would be a fight at a catch weight with PBF. If dlh would of beaten PAcman that could of been a possiblity to pump up his bank role but joe is done and he won't come back
