And the majority of it sits on the back on Pac Man's defeat of Oscar De La Hoya but that is every bit as much Manny as it was Pac. You also forget he went on record several times claiming Hopkins should retire pre-Pavlik and that he was worried for his health even citing the fact he went to the wrong corner @ the bell in the Calzaghe fight. He's a fantastic trainer, he knows his stuff and trains fighters well but lets not get carried away he isn't the greatest trainer that was or ever will be he is fallable. That said he has seen a weakness is Barrera that Khan will exploit and I for one agree with him. I'm just saying don't sing this man's praises as the 2nd coming when Khan wins tonight ok :rasta
I could've told you that myself. I don't know what it is but a few years ago, he changed. He was actually once a humble guy. Now, he thinks he's some hot shot trainer. And after Pacman beat DLH, his ego is way out in space. I hope he gets humbled. He ain't got nothing on Nazeem Richardson.
Where's your other thread in which you claim Zuniga is a tomato can? Because I was wondering what your actual criteria is for a tomato can.
I had exactly the same thoughts on Freddie Roach as the OP. Good trainer - but nothing out of the ordinary.
All trainers are overrated. It is the fighter who wins the fights. A good blueprint is ok, but guys like Mayweather Sr. or Roach are not that great. Mayweather Sr. is all attitude and has not done anything at all in boxing as a trainer. Nothing to really say he is a good trainer.
