Mosley possibly YAPPED his way out of a rematch with Cotto...at least for now.

Yes Cotto got the W against Shane but the fight was too damn close in my opinion to call either man a better fighter
Every fighter Mosley has struggled with have been taller longer boxers.
In his losses to Forrest and Winky he was able to regroup and do much better in those immediate rematch.
While Shane is undoubtedly older I believe the last couple of years Shane has aged like a fine wine and learned from his mistakes I don't see him slowing down soon if anything the wisdom and regularity of him fighting again has honed his skills.
No Cotto will not be the same fighter he was in the first fight ,he is still a question mark after that brutal war with Margarito.
Jennings proved nothing it just hopefully regained some of his confidence.
Since Mosley Cotto fought Gomez Marg and Jennings, two guys who are nowhere near elite welters and one who stopped him

    That's according to you....
Just like many thought Mosley wouldn't be the same after the Winky fight.

I felt Mosely beat Cotto in the first fight. As a matter of fact, I felt that Mosely actually punked Cotto at the end of that fight and had him running at the end, boxing out of necessity

Put them in the ring again, I think Mosely gets the nod. In Vegas, Mosely has a better chance of getting a decision.

Belt is a bargaining chip just like everything else. Didn't Cotto just pick up his own trinket? Isn't this what Froch is now finding out?

    Sure you were!!!

When you say Cotto was beaten into submission by the man Mosley punished...you act as if Cotto didn't beat Mosley, though you state it later.

Cotto wasn't getting manhandled by Mosley to only land a lucky punch at the end to win the fight.
Mosley was getting beat to the punch and getting muscled around.

Mosley stated after the fight that he didtn't realize Cotto was that fast and had such strong legs ( Mosley tried to muscle him ).

So Mosley doesn't want to fight in what's considered a hometown for Cotto on that day?

Gee, Mosley is such an *******.

Thats fair enough....however, I don't think Mosley punked Cotto at the end....not after hearing Cotto's post fight interview when he said he knew he was ahead and why is he going to just stand there and trade punches.

Self-preservation? thats a person that wants to have a life after he retires

In the ring again....Cotto is only better and still younger than Mosley who
had the fight of his life against a slow Margie.
Remember, he didn't do to Cotto what he did to Margie and he never will.

Margie fought Mosley in Mosley's backyard..L.A
Cotto fought Margie in Margie's backyard...Vegas.
( Margie's fanbase was prevalent....even when he missed they cheered as if he landed a K.O punch on Cotto )

And Mosley will pass up a stellar payday to fight in MSG?

Especially now that he is getting cocky with his talk of beating Cotto.

He has no business sense or he just has common sense ( knowing Cotto will kick his ass again )

Mosley is at least as much in the driver's seat here as Cotto.

I scored the first fight a draw, but if I had to lean one way or the other, I would give it to Mosley.

That said, I don't have a problem with the result.

    Very close fight. No robbery.

However, Margarito CLEARLY beat Cotto and Mosley CLEARLY beat Margarito, and in the big scheme of things, Mosley is the bigger name.

So it's as much in Cotto's interest to have a rematch with the number one ranked boxer in his division.

And if Shane has reservations about it being in NY, Cotto doesn't have the pull to force the issue.

    They should fight soon.

    In Vegas.

 Just cause Mosley is from the LA area doesn't mean it counts as hometown.

LA is considered mexican territory. Mosley was fighting in Margos territory.

Mosley lost a decision many thought he should've won. He also was the one that had Cotto on his bicycle late in the fight and finished stronger. Mosley also just annhilated a guy who destroyed Cotto. I disagree completely with you, I think it's Cotto who should want this fight more. 1. to get his belts back and 2. to try and prove he's the best WW, a stamp that for now many believe belongs to Shane :deal
