Mosley possibly YAPPED his way out of a rematch with Cotto...at least for now.

I'm curious as to the fanbase between the both areas.

In L.A Mosley has a huge following inlcuding for the most part Mexicans.

He even used to patronize Mexican restaurants until he got the runs.

It would probably depend on who he is fighting.

If he fights Cotto its best to fight in Vegas.

Mexicans dont like Puerto Ricans too much,

They should make it Vegas. It would be more of an "event" in Vegas. It would be bigger, more people would go just to see the "Title fight" who happen to be vacationing in that city, I'd think L.A. would depend more on the names themselves to sell out the fight, and neither fighter is a huge draw.

I don't wanna see Shane fight Cotto again though. Let him end his career with a meaningless MONEY fight with Hatton, Pac or Floyd.

If Mosley fought Cotto again....I don't think there would be a difference between Vegas and Staples Center....it would definitely favor Mosley.

Not even Shane felt he won the fight. He told Wally Mathews after the fight he felt it was a draw, or a close win for Cotto. Afterwards, he went on to tell Oscar in the dressing room prior to the post fight presser that he felt he Cotto deserved the decision.

Shane doesn't have much of a following in California or Vegas. Just look at the attendance numbers for his fights against Mayorga or Collazo. Hell, even when he was prime, coming off a win over De La Hoya, he still had trouble selling tickets. This is why a Cotto-Mosley rematch should be on the East coast.

As I've said before, in Vegas Cotto-Mosley II is just another fight. In New York, it's a major event. If Mosley is confident about stopping Cotto, as he's said before, then it shouldn't matter where the fight takes place. Crowds can't fight for them.

But alot of people felt he won :deal :patsch I don't care what he thinks, this is about perception and the opinion of the people.

I agree with you. I think Cotto won, and even late when Shane had him backing up, Cotto was outboxing him. But it doesn't change the fact that alot of people had Mosley winning. Also, after that fight I wasn't decided who the better fighter was, just who happened to win the decision. After the Margo fights I give the edge to Shane as #1 in the division.

I feel that Mosley will beat Cotto in a rematch if he comes out like he did with Margarito. Now, if that was the same Margarito that fought Cotto. Margarito didn't look like himself in the Mosley fight and then the commentators bring up the substance. If there was an unfair advantage with Margarito and the Cotto fight, then I will go with Cotto to beat Mosley. He will be sharper and I believe stronger from his defeat. Meaning, Mosley will not come out bulling Cotto like he did with Margarito. It will indeed be an excellent fight due to cotto thinking now that he did not lose and fighting the guy that beat the guy that possibly cheated. It is going to turn into a grudge match.

Mosley has the ability to beat Cotto. The first fight was a good scrap and was close. I'm sure the fight will end up happening.
