Best Heavyweight other than the Klitschkos

Nobody in germany knows David Haye. He is a contender like others. I believe more german people knows Alexander Dimitenko than David Haye.

But the Klitschkos are well known. I know alot of people in germany looks Klitschko-fights but never watch other boxing fights. The Klitschkos are well known in germany.

 

I must admit, Thomson did a good job for a nobody....

I never said Haye wasnt a challenge... I just have a problem with you guys calling him #1 HW when he has 1 fight against Barrett at HW... just not enough to put him so high

 

In all honesty CHEF, if both Haye and Wlad walked into a bar around my way, most people would not even know who they are. I think more people would ask if he's a basketball player, rather than a boxer.

 

Sultan is not officially retired. This poll and thread is rather silly, as it is a deliberate attempt to discount Sultan because of the poll I created earlier.

Then again, maybe this poll was created before mine. This one was started at 6:22am, and mine was started at 2:09pm.

Either way, I still regard Sultan as the third best heavyweight in the world outside of the Klitschkos. I just hope Sultan stays active.

That was 30-60 years ago. Nowerdays HW is much bigger...

 

I'm sure they do, but they have been calling LA there home now since what, 02 or 03? I cant speak for the rest of the world, but in my neck of the woods Wlad Klitschko isn't a household name by any means. I would probably bet a 100 bucs if you walk into the average bar in the states and ask 10 guys who the Heavyweight champ is, you will get varied answers, some will say Lewis, maybe even a Holyfield thrown in, and sadly enough a Rampage or Fedor, but if I had to guess maybe only 1 or 2 of those 10 would say Wlad. I'm not trying to come off as ignorant, I'm giving you opinion.
