Nah I liked that one too, just wasn't too rapt with the scorecards in that one. An intriguing tactical fight rather than a barn burner
i think gutted isnt the words for my feeling on this fight. more like dispaointed. it really had all the makings of an all time classic it wasnt a bad fight. oscar was lovely to watch for 9 rounds. i just thought that it would of give us some dramatic moments
Maccarenelli V Haye After all the hype it was a anti climax to see the ref wave off the fight over Enzo in the corner Enzo never got the chance to test Haye and get in a real scrap Haye is a on top fighter and Carl Thompson could weather the early storm and come back But Enzo could not disappointing night
Dunne v Martinez and the one fight that to this day has really left a sour taste in my stomach is Ottke - Reid.
Yeah true mate, I just enjoyed Oscar's great work in that first 9 rounds - De La Hoya v Quartey it wasn't! It wasn't the fight as much that pissed my mates off; it was the fact that my wife had invited her friends around so they could all coo over Oscar. Really they needed to be sitting on towels the way they were acting! That's the way it was with the ppvs in my house, I'd get the Foxtel guide and if I'd mention Lewis or Tszyu were fighting she'd be like "going down the pub to watch it then?" if I'd say the golden boy was on she'd be "booked it yet?"!
yeah the girls love Oscar no doubt he is the "Golden Boy" and he has good manners, nice guy, and all that but Trindad gets the ladies too dont under estimate him he a good looking lad is Felix
Roy Jones jr - Hopkins. I'd heard about how Jones was going to be one of the greatest of all time beore it but it was the first time I ever saw him. Along with that, any fight that I lose money betting on.
For me it's Trinidad-Hopkins. Tito's my favourite fighter and he was really on the crest of a wave at the time. He'd just destroyed Joppy in his first fight at Middleweight and I was sure he'd beat B-Hop to set up another mega-fight with Roy Jones. I found the whole fight tough to watch and seeing Don Felix come into the ring to stop it was just heart-breaking.
